Get close and personal with Sicily’s most famous volcano on this six-hour, small-group tour. Set off from Taormina — hotel pickups and drop-offs in the vicinity are included upon request — and arrive at Mount Etna, where you’ll spend the day walking through craters, exploring a lava cave, and learning about the volcano’s past eruptions at max. 2000 meters of altitude. Afterwards, you will be provided with a snack, complemented by wine, a little dessert and a sweet wine taste.

Fantastic day - active but nothing crazy and the “base camp” is actually a nice winery. Our guide Roberto was amazing and clearly has a passion for the pertinent -ology sciences (geology, biology, ecology and seismology). His English is great and we truly enjoyed our day!

My partner and I went on Mount Etna Half-Day Small Group Tour from Taormina on Sunday last week 👍. It was an excellent small group tour with only 8 of us in total including the tour guide 👍. Our tour guide Ugo was excellent really welcoming, friendly, accommodating and most of all extremely knowledgeable 👍. He gave us a lot of useful information about not only mount erna itself but also Sicily and the area etc both on the way up to the mountain, on the mountain itself and on the way back👍. I am really pleased we booked a small group tour as it’s a lot more personal and it hasn’t go too many people making it a lot more enjoyable for everyone 👍. The lunch and wine and location at a small restaurant at a local mountain vineyard was really good as well and was nice to speak to and get to meet the people on our tour 👍😀❤️. The only downside was it was not very nice weather really cloudy and a bit. Hilly which meant we couldn’t see the main crater etc on mount etna which always a real shame but wasn’t the tour guides fault and just unfortunate. I would highly recommend booking this tour with ‘Etna people’ tour company to anyone visiting Sicily as they are a fantastic company who take a lot of care and interest in making sure everyone enjoy their day and have excellent and knowledgeable guides 👍. Thank you Ugo for such a fantastic day out 👍😀🙏❤️

Our guide, Nico was fantastic. Extremely knowledgeable about flora and fauna around volcanos! Made the trip very fun and interesting!! The tour provides hiking shoes and coat which were definitely needed! Thank you Nico!
