Great excursion for anyone wanting to experience Mt. Etna! We learned about the area and the volcano, and Francesco was a fantastic guide! His passion for the area and "Momma Etna" was palpable, making the experience even more enjoyable. I would absolutely recommend it.

Would highly recommend visiting Etna. Plan on doing cable car. Tasting part of this tour was eh. Might look for something more real.

The tour starteds with a ride in a large van (small bus) to the starting area for Mount Etna, which has restaurants and shops. The guide then took us up the mountain and around it along the trails. The mountain is extremely beautiful and photogenic, and our guide (Giuseppe) was extremely knowledgeable. He was also very attentive, making sure no one fell behind (the first part of the climb is a bit steep) and everyone was safe. The second part of the tou involved climbing down into a small cave made from lava. The third part was a visit to a winery and bee farm, where we sampled three types of local wine and different types of honey.
