  The tour guide didn’t speak English and it was difficult to communicate with him. He struggled with understanding simple phrases like restroom. He couldn’t explain what we were seeing. It was so disappointing!

  We recommend booking this for a private car to take you around Mount Fuji and Hakone!! Ibrar arrived early and was very nice. He took us to all the places we wanted to go. We had 5 people and the car was very clean and spacious. We saw beautiful sites and highly recommend it.

  The tour itself was fine, although it would have been better if our driver was local, and was able to provide some insight and information about the places we visited. It was more an uber than a tour. The biggest problem we had, however, was the fact that the car had a relatively strong odor of cigarette and because it was a cold day when we visited (around 5 degrees) we were unable to have the windows opened for most of the ride. Being stuck inside a car for over 6 hours with poor ventilation and strong cigarette smell was not exactly comfortable.

  I hate to rate this way and this option may be what you are looking for but know all the facts before you pay. That being said we were just on a 2 week trip in Japan and Korea and booked many tours through Viator. This was the most expensive. We had specific timeframes and needed to get from Hakone to Tokyo while wanting to tour Hakone and Mt. Fuji area. To us, touring included getting historical/cultural information. To start our tour, our driver was 1 hour late despite my confirmation with the company the night before. Once he showed up, he was wearing his sneakers as slip ons, and not just to greet us but through part of the first location which was unprofessional. He did not give us any overview just said ok here is where we go today. Later learning we had a choice of the stops. At the first location we were given minimal information about where we were / what we were seeing. This was the theme throughout the day. In the end it was all ok because we got from Hakone to Tokyo, and we got amazing views of Mt. Fuji!!!! At this end of the day this “tour” is a glorified uber driver, if that’s what you’re looking for this is the tour for you!! Marking “no” as would you recommend but truly I would say it depends on your situation.

  Ali was great! Drove us there safely and explained everything to us perfectly. Also was patient when did not know what we wanted to eat. He also took great pictures of us all by Mt Fuji!
