Mt. Fuji Station
Elevation: Standing at 3,776.24 meters (12,389 feet), Mount Fuji is the highest peak in Japan. It is an active volcano It is the tallest mountain in Japan, the second-highest volcano located on an island in Asia. which is covered in snow for about five months of the year, the Mt Fuji erupted last time in 1707. In 2011 there was a major earthquake, which increased the pressure inside Mt. Fuji, but no eruption. Climbing Season: The official climbing season for Mount Fuji is during the summer months, from early July to early September. During this period, the weather is more favorable for climbers, and the mountain's trails are open. Arakura Fuji Sengen Shrine
The Arakura Fuji Sengen Jinja Shrine, also known as the Chureito Pagoda, is a famous Shinto shrine located in Fujiyoshida, Yamanashi Prefecture, Japan. We booked him to pick us from Mishima station , and he was with us for two days in Fuji and one day in Nikko . He explained a lot of basic information around . 5.00Our guide, Shaz was extremely knowledgeable of Japanese culture and of the attractions in and around Mt Fuji. He was also very flexible with respect to our itinerary and customized it for our specific interests. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to experience the Mt Fuji area. Finally, although Fuji was a bit shy and disappeared into the clouds from time to time, she did make several clear appearances and we got some great photos!!!
