Our tour guide, Caroline, was excellent… informative, articulate and knowledgeable. The collection was exceptional, however, we were so disappointed to travel all the way from US and not see Van Goth’s Starry Night.

Want to see the impressionists? This guided tour was amazing. A very knowledgeable guild took us on a mini history tour of art. We took the optional meal after in a most elegant restaurant and authentic French cuisine. North American visitors should remember to order their meat dishes one greater than they normally like as medium will be very rare, but armed with that knowledge, enjoy!

The tour was superb! My advice - skip the lunch. The service is wonderful, but the food is lacking. Revisit the exhibits you'd like to see again and then exit the Museum for lunch.

I did not for one second regret booking this tour option - it was truly fabulous in every way. The guide from Memories DMC France (Ardi?) was there to meet us and true to expectations, we completely skipped the line and were led into a side door and through group security as smooth as anything. Groups have their own luggage storage which can take carry-on sized luggage which is really good to know as I had been stressed about whether I would get in with my case. I read many reviews which said the museum has no facility for larger bags and so if this is an issue for you - just book a group tour and you will have access to the larger lockers. Next came the radios which hook on your ear and allow you to hear your guide even though you may be some distance from them. The use of this became immediately clear as the museum is very popular - makes navigating the throng much easier as you can hear your guide regardless of distance. The tour itself was superb. Our guide was clearly very enthusiastic about the impressionists and conveyed such an amount of information about the works in general and about specific paintings in particular by Manet, Monet, Van Gogh, Renoir etc. I learnt a great deal and it was an extremely enjoyable experience. I was the only one of the tour taking lunch afterwards so the guide made sure I got to the right place and again I skipped the long line waiting for lunch and was immediately led to my table where they were expecting me. The menu was absolutely fine for me (terrine, fish, chocolate dessert, red wine) and the service was perfect and attentive. The restaurant room itself is of course part of the experience. All-in-all, this tour package suited me very well as I had to go to the airport later - I had no time to spend waiting in queues. This tour definitely makes you feel like a VIP!
