We were on a group tour that included a demonstration class here, as opposed to hands-on. Our chef was knowledgeable, personable and talked us through making two mains (gumbo, shrimp etoufee) and two desserts (bananas foster, pralines). We enjoyed his explanation of the history of local cuisine and of these particular dishes. I have to say, this tasted better than some of the food we got at nearby restaurants. Of course they want to sell you merch, including their own branded blends and ingredients, but you don't have to. I have no idea how much classes cost but for me, this was a highlight of our trip. You can also sign up for their emails, which include special sales and recipes.

We had a great experience. Harriette was a wonderful presenter. The food was delicious. The 2 hour length was just right. We did the morning demonstration experience and it was not only fun but enough food to satisfy lunch. The atmosphere was relaxed and enjoyable. Having the recipes and a pen (both of which were provided) allowed for notetaking so the food could be made when returning home. This is a great activity for adults. Not recommended for children. Group size was about 24 people.

We had an amazing time at the New Orleans Demonstration Cooking Class. I think our chef's name was Austin and he was great! He was funny, informative, and that's the best food I've ever had in New Orleans (which is saying a lot).
