This was a great experience w a great Tour Guide and Driver. Once in a lifetime . The only caveat was the bus was not as comfortable as it could have been for such a long trip. Still, would highly recommend

The tour agenda was great! However our tour guide most likely had a lot of knowledge, his English was VERY POOR. We could only understand about 10% of what he was saying. This made the tour awful. Everyone on tour agreed he talked too fast and could not understand what he was saying. We would have to get him to repeat several times what time to be back on the bus. The company needs to do a better job of vetting employees English language. Very disappointing to have spent 8 hrs driving to the sites in Normandy with very understandable insight to what we were seeing. I would listen to other tour guides to get information.

The tour guide makes all the difference. Our guide was VERY difficult to understand, and came across as someone who was just doing his job, with no passion for his subject. The very best I’ve ever had was a guide who bent over backward to make sure we learned as much as we could about their subject matter. The lousy weather didn’t help, but even if it had been a sunny day, I would’ve been disappointed in the overall experience.

The tour is an emotional experience realizing the magnitude and ultimate outcome of the effort. I have long wanted to understand more about this massive historical assault -I was in awe of what it took and the sacrifice.

The bus trip was very comfortable. We were not impressed with our guide. He was very hard to understand and did not stay with us as we went into various areas. Other guides we passed along the path were giving their groups more detailed information with more personal stories. The Normandy experience is one you don’t want to miss but I could have gone away with more knowledge of that time had our guide been better.
