It was an amazing experience and it was an eye-opening experience. It was raining early during our tour and was somewhat dreary. Maybe fitting for this experience.

We booked this as a non-refundable excursion. Not long after booking, we found out my wife needed cancer surgery. I sent a message and got a very nice message wishing her the best and a promise to refund. We will be headed out there again so we will book with them for sure.

Lots of steep walkways but well worth the history lesson and amazing experience . Horrid conditions they lived under, both inmates and guards. Learning of the families that actually lived there as well was shocking.

The boat ride was easy and quick. And the tour was great. I’m so glad that we stopped for the first part of the tour and listened to Ranger Bennny. He gave so many more insights that the audio tour didn’t

From the beginning to end, this tour was organized. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The tour had headphones that narrated. The views were beautiful. The grounds are hilly, but they offered a shuttle to the top. At Pier 39, you can eat, shop, or view the Sea Lions! Highly recommend!

This tour can either be guided or at your own pace. We took our time and visited every place we could. The climb to the cell house has more than one path and you can get there gradually, or you can get a ride if you have a disability or other health concern. I was completely unaware of the Indian occupation and the other surrounding history where Alcatraz was more than a prison. Very informational and a definite must do if you're in the area.

Visiting Alcatraz is a must do activity for anyone visiting SF. A really interesting way to spend a couple of hours. The staff are very knowledgable and the audio tour is a great way to learn about the history of Alcatraz

Such an interesting and informative day. We learned a lot about the history of Alcatraz. A ranger gave some very interesting talks and the audio tour was excellent. There was also a previous prisoner from Alcatraz there signing his book! Cruise back and forth went well and fit many, many people which meant we didn't have to wait long to go back.
