Palace of Versailles
The Palace of Versailles in true royal fashion. As your guide shows you around a carefully curated selection of the palace’s 700 rooms, you’ll hear stories of the Sun King, Louis XIV, his successors, their queens, mistresses, and courtiers – including Marie Antoinette and other notable figures. Versailles had its heyday in the 17th and 18th centuries, when the Sun King elevated Louis XIII’s humble hunting lodge into the official seat of the French court – and 300 years later, the palace has lost little of its glamorous excess.
La Galerie des Glaces
Stand in the dazzling Hall of Mirrors, La Galerie des Glaces, the site of royal ceremonies and the 1919 Treaty of Versailles. Discover tales of decadence, diplomacy, and revolution. Visit the breathtaking Hall of Mirrors inside Versailles while our passionate English-speaking guide marvels you with stories of the excesses of royal life, peaking under the Sun King, Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette.

I booked this tour 1 day in advance. Tickets on the palace’s website were sold out so I was nervous that this could be a scam, but this tour was legit. The pickup location happened to be across the street from our hotel. Communication was clear. Bus was comfortable. Guides were knowledgeable. Had plenty of time to explore the gardens on our own after the guided palace tour. I recommend bringing your own water and saving the bottle because there is a drinking fountain at the garden. So happy we got to experience Versailles at the last minute!

Quick bus ride from Paris, tons of people but happy to see everyone so excited to see the palace. Would skip the gardens unless you have a lot of time. Train takes you to lots of stops but don’t see the gardens unless you get off the train. Maybe a separate day tour just for the gardens

Very nice day the guide very friendly and interesting. I would have stayed a little longer and for the garden, those who took the option like me do not forget to buy the tour DE petit train at the entrance of the garden which is not included because with the time available you will not be able to go around the garden. Thank you.

Lots of walking and standing. Would have liked better instruction on how to view gardens within time provided.
