What To Expect
Palo Verde National Park
Driving through the Country Site: you will arrive to enjoy a two-hour cruise along the river that has the nearest access to Palo Verde National Park. This river is one of most important of Costa Rica, because years ago, Tempisque River was used as a line of Transportation for people and goods like cattle and sugar cane. In addition, the river is considered one of the largest bird Sanctuaries in Central America. Tempisque River Possess large amount of birdlife, including aquatic birds such as herons, egrets, ibis, storks, roseate spoonbill and many other species. Other than birds, monkeys enjoy to climb and eat leaves and fruits from the trees along the river. The respected crocodiles and huge iguanas sit on rocks to warm up their bodies under the sun. The tour ends with a delicious typical Costa Rican meal.

5.00Our guide was great. We saw lots of crocs , iguanas, Jesus Christ lizards, heron, capuchin and howler monkeys and the pair of scarlet macaws was a highlight. The meal was great and our guide was very knowledgeable.

5.00We had a knowledgeable driver/guide who knows the history of Costa Rica, the wildlife on the river and shared a lot about the culture. We had a great pilot on the boat and got us close to the birds, crocs and monkeys. The traditional lunch at the ranch was extra special and very tasty.
