La Butte Aux Cailles
The Butte aux Cailles is the only district in Paris that really sums up the history of street art: you’ll find artworks by both artists of the 1980’s right up to emerging artists of the present day. You’ll see works that are more or less hidden by the artists – artists are sometimes shy! Others want to show us all their work…some artworks have been here for several years, others appeared only a few days ago. Your guide knows many of the artists and will be able to teach you about the works you see, guiding you through the history and techniques of Urban Art in Paris. From Jeff Aérosol and Miss Tic to Le Long and Princess Ecchymose, discover the best of Parisian Street Art and the artists who best represent the ‘French Touch’ and its flagship technique; ‘le pochoir’. And what better way to explore this fascinating district than embarking on a street art hunt with an expert guide who is also a street artist!

What is street art? Our guide Thierry showed us the differences in street art. We went to the Louvre and prefer the street art tour because they say more about the techniques and the local artists. We are sensitized to see street art in other districts where you just walk by. Street art is not only large formats on house walls (like Mural Art), it is the presentation of the artists of your art as they 'prepare' it. Suddenly, from the many presentations, artists recognize 'Mystic', NDF and others (even outside the actual artist districts). Unforgettable

This tour is a MUST! Such a great way to see Paris! We covered so many artists over a large area and I learned so much about the works of art as well as the artists. Don’t worry about the walk…it’s mostly flat and moves at a leisurely pace. Plenty of good photo ops and I can’t stress how much great knowledge was shared about the artists and techniques!! I was lucky enough to have a one on one tour and enjoyed every minute of it! I would definitely recommend this tour and I’d go again!

Piazza Maggiore, symbol and beating heart of the city of Bologna, is the result of centuries-old transformations that have enriched it from a historical, cultural and architectural point of view: the Basilica of San Petronio, the Palazzo dei Notai, the Palazzo d'Accursio, the Palazzo del Podestà and the Palazzo dei Banchi. It is also a meeting place for religious, political, cultural and gastronomic events.

We enjoyed our time at The Butte aux Cailles in the company of Thierry, who is passionate about street art, we enjoyed a beautiful and interesting afternoon, listening and learning about the artists, their works and anecdotes, and we were even able to witness one of them in the middle of a new work. Thank you Thierry!
