Immerse yourself in a truly French art-de-vivre with an unique olfactory journey to the Fragonard Perfume Museum in Paris, located right next door to the Opera Garnier. The perfect opportunity to discover a unique collection of ancient fragrance bottles. Immersed in a Second Empire atmosphere, visitors traverse three thousand years of history : Know-how of Grasse, vanished raw materials, ancient fragrant objects, the museum is a perfumer’s laboratory with rare and precious bottles from the Pharaohs to Fabergé as witnesses of social and cultural habits.

After the visit of 20 minutes, we invite you for a moment of sensory and olfactory memory development with the explanation of the olfactory pyramid, the recognition of 3 blended compositions that enter into the Flower of the Year eau de toilette. During the visit, you will create and customize, following the advices of our teacher, your own Eau de Toilette (12 ml in a spray).

Live an original olfactory experience with the discovery of the Perfume Museum. After the theory, let’s practice! Attend the Flower-of-the-Year Olfactory Workshop and become the creator of your own Eau de Toilette. While visiting the Perfume Museum, we invite you to unveil the history, the origin, the culture of this very special flower and the way it is used in perfumery. During the tour, you will create and customize, following the advices of our teacher, your own Eau de Toilette (12 ml in a spray). Fun and interactive experience learning about the history of perfume and how it’s made. At the end of the tour we went into a separate area to mix our own. Our tour guide was personable, funny and informative. Overall took about 1 hour.

We had an awesome experience with this activity. After a brief overview of the process for making perfume, we were given 3 scents (citrus, musk, cedar) to create our own fragrance. After making our perfume, we were given a tour of the history of perfume making and bottling.

If you are looking for a brief overview of perfume making and history this tour is for you! While the museum itself is free to enter the guide did go over a little bit for better understanding. The perfume making itself was fun but I thought that we would be able to create our own scent … instead there is a basic scent for you to re- create but can change up a bit. Good thing is that I liked the fresh scent that we were able to make! Overall a super fun experience and a nice keepsake to take home and remember Paris!!

Our party consisted of five adults and one teenager. We were warmly welcomed and given a brief history of how perfume began. Most importantly history of the company’s perfume. We had the opportunity to mix some liquids notes to create our own perfume. Followers by a small tour to learn more about the company’s perfume history. A magical experience, highly recommend.

It’s not so much a perfume making class as you get only 3 choices of scents and a bossy guide telling you how many drops to put in a small spray bottle. The guide marched us through the “perfume making class” in 10 minutes, then through the 3 room “museum before ending in the Fragginard store for the hard sell. Spent more time explaining prices and gifts with purchase than actually making perfume. Disappointing. No offense, the guide had a very strong Asian accent which made it difficult to understand her explanations and orders. She would’ve made a great drill sergeant.

Sasha was a brilliant guide she was very knowledgeable and funny. Would highly recommend a tour. The museum was great but making the perfume was definitely the highlight.
