Poas Volcano
After being picked up by your professional biologist guide in our private 4x4 transportation, we will drive about 2 hours on a scenic road that leads to the National Park. Once we get there, the weather gets cold, the sun shines, and the smell of sulfur would give us the welcome to one of the largest craters in the world and one of the most active volcanos in CR. We will enjoy the view when the volcano gets clear and immerse in the dwarf vegetation that leads to the extinct crater which now hosts life, admire this particular forest and the lush, verdant surroundings through biologist eyes.
We will drive around La Paz Waterfall and beautiful landscapes

David led us on a wonderful experience. We saw so many amazing birds and the Poas Volcano is awesome. We took the longer hike to the lagoon and back down. You are aware of the elevation but the trail is well maintained. Enjoy the cloud forest! The waterfall and the birds - hummingbirds, toucans, tanagers, Baltimore Orioles and more with a delicious lunch rounded out a great day.

Lots of birds and lots of nature. I had a great time on this ride, being a passenger and admiring the landscape along the way is something I really like. Thanks to our guide Rigo for showing us the wonders that there are in Costa Rica and being like another friend with whom we decided to go for a walk.

Great day out with thoughtful knowledgeable guide. Volcano fascinating, cloudy at first then it cleared!! Late lunch with one of the most stunning views I’ve ever seen and a great variety of birds. Lovely way to spend one of last days of our visit to Costa Rica. Shame we booked too late to be able to visit the animal rehab centre
