Its settlement dates back many centuries when it was an outpost of the Roman Empire. Its combined Celtic-Latin name, Portus Cale, has been referred to as the origin of the name Portugal, based on transliteration and oral evolution from Latin.

Vasco was our driver. He arrived promptly ahead of our meeting time right outside the cruise terminal. After we greeted him, he asked what we wanted to see and shared his thoughts too. He was an excellent driver and took us to many top sites. We appreciated his conversation and sense of humor. His background knowledge was extensive since he grew up in Porto. I highly recommend this tour!!!

We made a wonderful city trip with Gisela Almeida in Porto. She is a very safe driver and has a beautiful voice with which she gives captivating and clear explanations about everything that can be seen in Porto and the surrounding region. Gisela is very sympathetic, can talk about everything and even sing along. Moreover, she is always on time. We felt super good with her and safe in the busy city. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to discover Porto! Big thanks, Gisela!

They worked with us to craft the perfect day for our family, from 7 to 70 years old, it was amazing. Our guide, Joao was outstanding, super knowledgeable, fun, great to tour with and willing to make all our crazy ideas work that helped keep the kids and parents happy. He bent over backwards and knew all the good places. We saw old town Porto, the river, and Lello. Porto was enchanting, the private transportation was a nice well air conditioned van.
