Explore an underground river system and 2 cenotes at the same location. All the photos listed here you will see in person. You will be swimming through different cave rooms under stalactites and hanging tree roots for approximately 1,5 hours with a life jacket which allows you to float therefore you do not have to be a great swimmer. As it is possible to get lost if you are navigating on your own, this location requires a guide. After the cave rooms have been explored, you will be able to spend time on your own without a guide to swim and take photos. Be prepared to have the most surreal and otherworldly experience of your lifetime.

What To Expect
Cenotes Sac Actun
We will be exploring a truly magical cenote that leads into a stunning underground river system. Unlike other cenotes that are jam-packed with tourists and large tour groups, we will be guiding you to a location that is less known and off the beaten path. With us as your guides we will show you a surreal scene of a sacred underground tree, like a picture straight out of a fairy tale, in real life. Then we will swim into an underground river filled with stalactites, stalagmites and rock formations that make you feel as if you are exploring another planet. Access to the underground river system is normally reserved for certified cave divers however we will be exploring an area that is not completely submerged under water making it possible to swim and wade without diving equipment or certification. Come with us and we will show you the best and most special underground river experience that the Yucatan Peninsula has to offer.

We are visiting a beautiful open cenote, like a natural pool in the jungle, full of fishes and amazing views, ideal for snorkeling and free diving. Life jackets are optional.

5.00Visiting the Cenotes is a must do while in Tulum. It is beautiful and otherworldly. This is a unique experience. Swimming back in the caves was amazing! Juan was a wonderful guide.

5.00This is hands down one of the coolest experiences we’ve ever had — something we will never, ever forget. What made it even more special was our guide, Juan. He was incredible: SO kind, knowledgeable, patient, and beyond helpful from start to finish. The first cenote he brought us to felt like something out of a movie — absolutely stunning, otherworldly, and almost impossible to believe it was real. And the second location, the underground caverns, will live rent-free in my mind forever. The crystal-clear water, the formations, the peacefulness… it was magical. Juan made sure we felt safe, comfortable, and taken care of the entire time. He explained everything so well, guided us through the caves with ease, and made the experience feel both adventurous and serene. I cannot recommend this tour — and Juan — highly enough. Five stars all the way! If you’re in Tulum, do not miss this.

5.00We had a wonderful excursion with Juan. Xunaan-Ha was a beautiful and pristine cenote. We really enjoyed swimming there and jumping off the platforms. The highlight of the day, of course was going to Sac Actun. What a truly amazing and unique experience for us. Going through the caves with Juan was really spectacular. He was able to point out so many interesting things to look at while we were in the caves. Juan went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable on the trip and that we were doing everything safely. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone that is interested in it.
