5.00We did a private walking tour with Alan on our first day in York, and it was the perfect way to get our bearings in the city. The tour was excellent – very informative, engaging, and full of funny and enjoyable stories that brought York’s history to life. Alan is a knowledgeable and fascinating guide who made the city’s past feel vivid and relevant. He also shared great local tips, from pubs and a cocktail bar to the wonderful experience of attending Evensong at the Minster. Highly recommend this tour – a brilliant start to any visit to York! We had 2 80 year olds in our group and the managed the pace and distance!

5.00I chose this tour because I wanted to learn about all of York’s history from the Romans to the Vikings to Henry VIII to Guy Fawes and everything in between. Chris was an amazing tour guide. He knows sooo much about history and weaves the stories so well. His local knowledge of York is impressive. He went above and beyond to make the day educational and amazing.
