Pam was terrific. She knows a lot of information about the art. I especially appreciated her pointing out hidden features of the sculptures in The Academia.

We had the most incredible experience during our private tour of the Uffizi Galleria and the Academia Museum in Florence. Our tour guide, Ilaria, was nothing short of exceptional. She was incredibly knowledgeable about the artwork and the history behind each piece, and her passion for art was truly contagious. One of the highlights of the tour was being able to bypass the long lines and to efficiently get us to the right place to experience the artwork close up. Ilaria took the time to explain each piece in detail, giving us a deeper appreciation and understanding of the art. Not only did we see some of the most iconic pieces of art in the world, but we also learned far more about art history in those 3 1/2 hours. Ilaria's enthusiasm and expertise made the tour truly memorable, and we are so grateful for the opportunity to have her as our guide.

Florence has changed in that the Uffizi and academia galleries now allow a ridiculous number of visitors at one time. There is no skipping the line. We waited an hour to” skip the line”. Hardly skipping the line. And the natural prices of trying to wait in line was awful. There were no staff actually supervising this process, and people are just cutting in and out all over the place. This was not conveyed to us upon booking. Therefore we had minimal time to visit the museum and even when we were in there, their rooms are so densely packed with people you could barely move. It was a very negative experience unlike any of our other previous visits to Florence museums.

Manuela was a fabulous guide. Her passion emanated from start to finish for the Italian renaissance and its birthplace in Florence. Her knowledge was clearly expert level. She was funny and easy to listen to. Lots of walking since the museums are separate, maybe bring a small water since it’s three hours long but would do the tour with the company and Manuela 100x over again!
