What's unique about this experience is that by learning the differences between the various ramen (noodles, broth, etc.) across Japan, you can also use it as a ramen guide when traveling around Japan. Japanese people are particular about everything and turn it into a unique Japanese food culture. While making ramen and gyoza together, you can learn about the diversity of the culture.
This time, we will make miso ramen with broth made from "kelp" and "chicken" or "scallops," which are the basic ingredients of Japanese broth.
For vegans, we will make miso ramen with broth made from "kelp" and "vegetables."
In addition, the Japanese-style house will allow various travel groups, from groups of adults to families with children, to enjoy themselves in a relaxed atmosphere.

Let's make ramen and gyoza with a lecture of history about them! *Available for vegans *Minimum 2 people Since we started our Japanese food cooking experience tour in 2018 (excluding the coronavirus period), more than 500 foreign tourists have enjoyed it. We are located in Yanaka, close to Ueno Station or Nippori. Since starting the Japanese food cooking experience tour in 2018 (excluding the COVID-19 pandemic), over 500 foreign tourists have enjoyed it. Ramen and fried dumplings are now considered Japanese foods. This tour includes a mini lecture that briefly looks back on the history of how these two foods have evolved in their own way since they were introduced to Japan. For dumplings, you will make three types: regular fried dumplings, cheese dumplings, and kimchi dumplings. For ramen, you will make miso ramen using an original soup and enjoy toppings.

This was such an amazing and authentic cooking experience! The hosts were incredible in starting to give an overview of ramen and gyoza and then showing us how to make on our own - they were super interactive and patient with us! The food turned out incredible and something we could already see ourselves replicating at home.

We had an excellent experience in our ramen and gyoza cooking class! We started with a lesson on Japanese food culture and recipes - we certainly got some “food for thought” with a new perspective on what we were eating! Our guides were exceptionally knowledgeable, passionate, and kind! They prepared thoughtful, delicious meal and provided us with recommendations for the city after. I’d definitely recommend!

Teaching Chef of Kitchen Kujo and Translator Sayaka were amazing, and the class was fun and delicious. He sent me recipes along with photos & videos of me in the class whipping up Gyoza. I understood every single word from Translator Sayaka, and she also added elements of Japanese culture, history and current trends to further round out a wonderful class. Together, they provided a wonderful class and cultural experience.

I throughly enjoyed this class and was made to feel comfortable as a solo attendee. I found the history of Ramen and Japanese food very interesting. The class was very relaxed and hands on and I feel confident make my own gyoza and ramen when I return home. The email from with photos from the class was a nice touch.

It was an amazing experience. We were just my partner and I alone in the ramen workshop and they were super friendly. An experience I would recommend 100%. The ramen and gyozas we made were great.

A great experience. Time started with a quick history of ramen and gyoza before moving on to lessons, cooking and eating. The hosts are absolutely lovely and our daughter who is learning Japanese really enjoyed practicing while speaking with them (although they translated much of the lesson to English for those of who don’t speak Japanese). Highly recommend!

We (me, my husband, and two teenage boys) absolutely loved this class. Throughout our trip, I'd ask what everyone's favorite experiences were so far, and this class always topped the list. The teacher and translator were both welcoming, personable, and knowledgeable. The cooking isn't from scratch as it is in the longer classes, but that was fine with us. We picked up some good tips and got to have an awesome lunch along the way. And they even took pictures which they sent afterward. Highly recommend!

It was a very good course. We had some historical context of the ramen and gyoza. Then we made them. It made it look very easy to do at home !

It was lovely. We really wanted to learn how to make ramen and they broke it down in very easy steps with a lot of interesting information. It was the perfect amount of time as well.
