What To Expect
You will learn Sake 101, including brewing techniques, history, and labels, in a small group with a sake sommelier over two hours. You will meet a sake expert from the international sake sommelier team in Shinjuku, the center of Tokyo, to learn about and sample various sakes. During the workshop, you will try more than six different types of sake to discover your favorite and create your own tasting chart. Enjoy sake while tasting locally sourced snacks paired with it to experience how sake complements your meal. If applicable, you will also have the opportunity to meet Japanese sake enthusiasts in Tokyo and learn some local tips.

4.00The tasting was extremely varied and generous. 10 tastings was too much for me. Since this was my first time tasting sake, the information provided was way above my head. The teacher was so knowledgeable and provided a great history of sake making, but not for the beginner. Everyone was definitely getting pretty intoxicated.

5.00This is an experience you have to do if you enjoy sake or are even interested in it. You will cover an entire flavor profile, history of sake, what to look for when buying it and how different sakes taste. Not to mention how to pair it with food. We covered a wide array of sake and were a bit buzzed by the end. Make sure to drink plenty of water during the class, and have a meal beforehand. Most of all, DO NOT MISS THIS! Joe, our host, was incredibly well versed and knowledgeable. 10/10 would do this again!
