What To Expect
Eiffel Tower
The Eiffel Tower has been built by French engineer Gustave Eiffel, for the 1889 Universal Exhibition in Paris. This magnificent technical feat was achieved in a mere two years, two months and five days. It stands 324 metres tall, and the metal structure weighs 7,300 tonnes. Parisians were scandalised by its metallic look and height. It was built to last 20 years. A radio antenna was added to the top in 1903, saving the tower from demolition. It has now become the monument symbolic of Paris.
Cathedrale de la Sainte-Trinite
The new Russian Orthodox church is known as the Holy Trinity Cathedral. The centre houses a bilingual Franco-Russian school, a parish house, and a cultural centre.

Pleasant tour but arrangements weren't handled well

3.00We booked the 8:45 pm tour of the Seine with wine and music. The boat was easy to find. BUT, our tour was canceled and we received no notification. We learned from another passenger in line. The tour simply disappeared from our bookings list in the app. We had to wait in line for the next tour which interfered with our dinner plans. So while it was a nice tour eventually, the lack of communication was unprofessional.

5.00The cruise was great, an hour up and down the Siene giving you a different view of many landmarks. The crew was friendly and the ride was smooth. It’s also a great people watching experience, along the river bank. PLEASE NOTE: the 7:30 departure time zones n the viator voucher and website are incorrect. They recommend getting to the meeting point 20 minutes early. I thankfully went much earlier to explore the river bank. I was on the boat by 6:45 and we pulled away from the dock by 7pm. If I wasn’t “early” i would have missed it entirely.

2.00That the music ES very raucous and that there is NO explanation DE anything. I was so strong I had to force my voice to talk to my husband. I imagined otherwise and was disappointed.
