Matcha & Japanese sweets
1. Learn about the history and see how matcha is made First, you’ll hear a short explanation of the history of tea in Japan. You’ll also see how matcha is made using a traditional stone mill. 2. Watch a traditional tea ceremony and enjoy sweets Next, a tea ceremony master will perform the traditional tea-making ritual, which has a history of over 500 years. You’ll then enjoy the freshly prepared matcha along with nerikiri, a traditional Japanese sweet. 3. Make your own matcha Finally, you’ll have the chance to make your own bowl of matcha using traditional tools. We had such fun coming to this tea ceremony. The staff were so nice and they accommodated us even though we got stuck in Tokyo traffic. The ceremony itself was a little pocket of calm and tranquility in a busy city, and we loved drinking and also making the matcha. Amazing experience.

A perfect gem! This old & original little tea house, tucked away on a little side street, is not only beautiful & relaxing, it’s a tranquil & peaceful, allowing you to leave the hustle & bustle of the outside world for a short while whilst learning about the traditions & history of the tea ceremony. The hosts are very knowledgable & very friendly!

Nice calm experience in busy town Shibuya. It was pleasant to have meditative moments and really enjoyed nice sweets as well as Matcha.
