Join us on a 11 hour small group, maximum 16 people, day tour from London, to Canterbury, Dover and Kent Villages. This tour takes us through the county known as the "Garden of England". We will travel through time - literally, with a visit to Greenwich where GMT began. Then out deep into the beautiful Kent countryside and a stop in the glorious traditional Kentish village of Chilham. Following Chilham we take the scenic route onto the famous White Cliffs of Dover where we descend down to the shore for spectacular views along the coast and up at the glistening white cliffs immediately behind us. On from the cliffs we head to Dover Castle, where you can explore and see over 2000 years of history, from the Roman era church, to the Medieval embattlements and tunnels dug during WW2. Then on to the city of Canterbury, with its world famous 900 year old cathedral. Visit the cathedral and join us on a guided walking tour of Canterbury before our return to London after a full day exploring.

Greenwich
We make a short stop in Greenwich on our way out of London. Greenwich forms part of our natural route out of the city and is a great place for us to stop and grab a coffee and use the bathroom before we get out into the countryside. Admire the Cutty Sark - a famous restored 19th century tea clipper sailing ship. Hear stories of Kings and Queens visiting, and learn about the observatory that gave birth to Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) and see the famous Royal Naval College.
Chilham Village
Wander round this beautiful example of a traditional English village. Full of charm and centred around a village square, with a church, pub and tearooms. Chilham is perhaps Kent's most beautiful village of all. Enjoy a cup of tea and a scone from the tearooms, or perhaps a local pint of beer from the historic village pub.
Join us at on the corner of Belvedere Road and Chicheley Street,30 seconds walk from the London Eye. Departure time: 8.45am

This was our second tour with the English Bus. Tony has been our guide on both and was excellent. The bus is very comfortable, the itinerary a great mix of activities with guided information and free time, and this was a very fun day. There is no designated "everyone will eat now in this one place together" stop, which we appreciated - plenty of opportunity and time to eat, but to eat what and when suited you. Highly recommended for a small group tour.

This is a fantastic tour company. Tony was our guide/driver and he had a great rapport with all the passengers. He was knowledgeable and interesting and took personal interest in everyone. I’ve taken numerous tours in the past few years with larger companies and this tour was by far the absolute best. I plan to use them again next time I am in England.

Very organized and well run tour to some spectacular and charming places in the countryside. Both Lucy and Nowl were full of fun facts about the area and the history surrounding what you see. The group was smaller so it was a little easier to navigate. Highly recommend this company for future tours!!

This was a wonderful tour, and the smaller bus helped us get to the less well traveled portions of the Dover cliffs, not to mention through the holloways (holloway. What a great word!) and narrow roads of the Kent county countryside. Tony was a highly knowledgeable and charming guide, whether he was enlightening us on the fascinating history of Kent county, or arranging for us to get some delicious tea and scones in tiny villages with rich histories, from the Celtic period to World War II and the evacuation of Dunkirk. Be prepared to walk through a lot of tunnels! Finally, he treated us to a fantastic guided tour of Canterbury and its many famous figures, from Saint Augustine to Christopher Marlowe to Orlando Bloom!
