What To Expect

Say hello to our friendly huskies that are ready for action, & discover the life on a small-scale kennel in an authentic way! Run a sled pulled by happy dogs, and experience the silence of the forest away from civilisation. We take small groups only, to offer the best possible experience. With us, discover dogsledding in a fun and safe way! Espen & Delphine will welcome you at their farm, and ensure that you always feel safe & comfortable. At your arrival, we equip you with extra winter clothes so that you always stay warm. Then we’ll take you in our kennel to meet our dogs up-close & personal. You will be taught how to handle them and we will talk about their origin and history. After the briefing, we are ready to head out! We will be on the trail for +/- 2h depending on temperatures / wishes. You will drive your own sled in pairs (driver and passenger) with the possibility to switch place often. You need to be in reasonable shape to help the dogs on the uphills, and hold them on the downhills. We’ll also enjoy a typical Norwegian outdoor lunch. We will talk about daily life with 30 dogs, before heading back home for some warm drinks around the fire. Family friendly experience!

Excellent day out. Super friendly staff with excellent knowledge and a wonderful affinity with their dogs. My best adventure ever. You get to mush your own team of dogs and you cover a good distance in the two hours your out with them. Plenty of instructions before you head out and the staff are always there to assist. A must do in my mind.

I cannot adequately describe my positive feelings that I felt from arrival to departure when visiting the Husky Farm of Espen and Delphine. Communication with Delphine via mail was very good and without any circumstances. It was very important to us to book a tour of responsible people who take care of their dogs and see them as not just a source of income. As far as we could see, all the dogs were social and very open-minded, they had a nice coat and looked healthy. The cages were in good condition and clean. We arrived from Tromsø by bus and were, by prior arrangement, picked up by Espen personally. Thanks to Espen's attention, we were able to spot elk in the thicket on the way to the farm. The tour itself was implemented by Wannes. We received a very good briefing, always pointing out that absolute attention and safety when sledging are the highest priority. For protection for us and of course for the dogs. The ride including outdoor break was breathtaking. Beautiful nature and the dogs always directly with us, whose name and character everyone on the farm knew. During the trip Wannes always checked if we and the dogs were okay. At the end of the tour we were also able to get to know Anna-Lena. All great people with high connection and understanding of nature. The way from Tromsø is worthwhile and can be done without Circumstances to be driven with Svipper.

The guide was nice and knew a lot about the dogs and the environment. We did spend quite some time on the farm before- and after the tour and saw that the dogs are treated very good! This is possible because it’s not a place where the big busses with tourists will come, smal scale and good tours have the priority.

Amazing experience with great hosts. From the moment we were welcomed off the bus to be driven to the farm, we were made to feel at ease. The itinerary was explained and for those without sufficient warm clothing and boots, these were provided. We then got to meet the dogs and have the sled explained. For the more adventurous and able you can drive your own sled but we were carefully driven. We set off on an adventure through the woods, stopping to eat trail soup and allow the dogs to rest. I was lucky to get a glimpse of a moose. On returning we helped to unharness the dogs and then after changing enjoyed hot drinks and biscuits. It was clear that they are enthusiastic about outdoor life and sledding, and that the dogs' wellbeing is central, even when they retire. The only down side is the location is some distance from many places (but we found the Norwegian bus service excellent).

The husky trip was great . They give you suits as it’s very very cold . Dogs seem v happy and well kept . The scenery is stunning . A winter wonderland .unfortunately when I finish the sledging I noticed my phone must have fallen out on way round . This happened to another visitor too . The went round the track but could not see it . Next day they called me and had been found . They arranged to put on a bus to a hotel near me . Sarah was fantastic arranging this for me . As you can imagine very grateful . Would recommend to go .Lovely dogs and scenery and great team

AMAZING! There are no other words to describe the adventure we just had with OffTrack Experience! We had a great time with Delphine and the dogs! The ride was really cool, we were able to speed up the descents, have fun, have a break in the middle, a small fire, a little hot drink and something to eat, chat and exchange driver. The dogs were great, super nice, super happy to be there. We had to be 4, finally we had a private tour with 2 because the other group could not come unfortunately but it was super cool for us and Delphine took the time to tell us their whole story. Really great. We want to register to come and do a week with Delphine, Espen the dogs in 2026 so good the day was! If you are hesitant between sled dogs and snowmobiles, we strongly recommend sled dogs PS: I advise you to be the second to ride the sled! Many thanks for the time spent with us and thank you for making us live a great experience! Hélène

So worth making the effort to travel from Tromso to Delphine and Espen's property. From the moment we arrived we knew we were in great hands. After putting on the extra layers/boots Espen the team took us through a quick dogsledding 101 on how to control the sled/dogs and the do/don'ts. The course we did was around 13km 2hrs+ with a break for lunch. Wow and what fun! Since it was snowing fairly heavily it made for challenging course where we really felt we were working with the dogs to complete it. While the Aurora was amazing to see we have to say this experience was right up there and would have no hesitation making a recommendation!

Had a wonderful experience with Delphine and all the adorable puppies. The estate is a bit far from Tromsø, but the trip is well worth it! The surroundings are simply gorgeous, the dogs are very well taken care of and incredible sociable (and adorable!). The sledding trip is something one must definitely do at least once in their lives. Breathtaking views and halfway through we stopped by a fire in the wilderness having lunch and hot tea. At the end, Delphine invited us into to this very cozy cabin for homemade cake and hot tea, which was the perfect end to get us warm again. 11/10 would recommend!
