Skogafoss
Our first stop is Skogafoss Waterfall. It is one of the most iconic waterfalls in the country and was even featured in Game of Thrones. His 60m drop will keep you speechless for sure. Your guide will tell you all about the hidden treasure chest behind the waterfall and with some luck, you will be the first one to find it.
Reynisfjara Beach
Now it's time to hit the road again. After a short ride, we stop at Reynisfjara black sand beach. The beach was once rated as one of the 10 most beautiful places in the world and as soon as you put a foot on the beach, you will know why. Basalt columns and the well known Reynisdrangar rock formations await you. Your guide will tell you all the interesting stories and sagas that are connected to this place.

Driver was very knowledgeable and entertaining, got us in and out of all the stops with ease and quickness. The scenery was amazing - even with “typical” Icelandic weather (rain, wind). Definitely recommend!

We were fortunate to have same tour guide, Smari, for 5 days doing different day tours north, west and south coast from Reykjavik. Smari offered us extra stops for viewing and everything he suggested exceeded our expectations. Smari gave us the true “local” Icelandic experience. He worked behind the scenes with the company he works with (Holiday Tours) to get us extra add-ons he thought we would enjoy. Spending 5 days with Smari’s excellent driving allowed us to experience the visual beauty of Iceland without driving worries. We feel truly blessed to have come across Holiday Tours and being able to spend all 5 days with Smari. Iceland is absolutely visually beautiful but getting to know a local Icelander like Smari as our tour guide made the whole travel experience PERFECTION!!! 6 stars for Smari and Holiday Tours! Thank you Smari, Ingimar and Hulda for a fantastic job making our 5 days of touring magical.
