We planned a last minute trip to see the plantation. We booked all 4 tours, Laura, oak alley, St Joseph and Felicity. The St Joseph & Felicity was by far our favorite ones. Sharon and Jamie we so friendly and knowledgeable and if they were clear on the things they did not know by saying “it’s possible or we believe” this tour was more hands on and one on one.

We visited this plantation immediately after touring Oak Alley. The two are vastly different and offer very unique experiences. While Oak alley is large and beautifully maintained, it is also heavily toured in large groups and is typical museum atmosphere. St Jospeh/Felicity is still owned by the descendants of the original owner so while it is not maintained like a museum, it feels more original. The experience was much more personal and the ability to take photos inside and outside of the homes was a plus. The tour guides at both homes were excellent.
