Stirling Castle
Your expert Tour Guide will take you from Balloch at the foot of Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park and take you over to Stirling Castle, one of the most historic Castles in Scotland. Besieged by Bonnie Prince Charlie in 1746 during the Jacobite Uprising (Think Outlander) it has connections also to Mary Queen of Scots and swapped hands between the Scots and the English during the Wars of Independence (Think Braveheart) You’ll get the chance to visit the castle and learn all about what makes this castle so significant.
Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park
You’ll be exploring in Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park and hearing all about the Highland boundary fault line and how the land crashing together in this exact location millions of years ago has created the beautiful landscape renowned the world over. Your guide will share stories of history, legend, wildlife and much more and explain why this area of Scotland is such a special location.

Had the best day on what ended up being an unexpected private tour due to us being the only ones to book today. John, our guide, was easily one of the best we’ve ever had. He was super knowledgeable, funny and genuinely made the whole experience amazing. We started at Stirling Castle, explored the nearby graveyard, and learned so much about Scotland’s history! Then we went to Loch Lomond, taking a scenic detour through the countryside due to a road closure. John hiked with us all the way to the viewpoints, which were absolutely stunning. We ended the day with a whiskey tour (with more great guides) and tasting at Glengoyne. It was a perfect mixture of history, nature, and local charm. Can’t recommend this enough! Thank you, John!

Our guide, Jenny, took us on a very engaging and informative tour of Stirling Castle, Loch Lomond with nice hike, and the Glengoyne Distillery. She was very knowledgeable and pleasant - a great guide for a great tour! The tour duration is perfect - started around 09:00 and done by 16:30 - not too long, not too short, and enough stops to understand what the Glasgow area is like.
