You can have a fast-track, truly Taiwanese cultural experience, from the street to the kitchen! Guided by our local chef Wayne, you will enjoy the experience just like a local: starting the day with a slice of classic Taipei, walking in the oldest morning market, welcomed by street vendors and shop owners, and savoring traditional and unique street food. You will also learn how to make healthier colorful boba.

What To Expect
This short experience begin with the market tour, introduce some unique fruits and vegetables. You will get to taste some herbal tea and fish balls. Then we will be heading back to the cooking studio and learn to make colorful boba.

5.00Wayne gave a great tour and cooking class! We met by the Market and he explained all the different fruits and vegetables. His cooking experience showed as he described the uses for each. As we walked through the market, Wayne pointed out interesting items and answered questions. His English was perfect. We had a few tastes a long the way, including fruit juices, where Wayne bought a full bottle of our favorite for later. He even left a few minutes for us to explore on our own. After the market, we went to his apartment that was setup as a professional cooking studio! He guided us through each step with lots of explanations. He asked about our favorite boba drink, then made milk tea just for us! Enjoying our finished boba was the best! Thanks to Wayne.

5.00Wayne was really welcoming and showed us some new fruits that we haven't tried before. Was able to find me a vegan snack at the market since I couldn't have the fish balls. The boba making was fun and everything tasted great! He gave us a few personal recommendations for food in the area as well. 10/10 would recommend!

5.00Wayne's class is the true authentic way to make Taiwanese bubble tea! You make your own bubbles using the fruit juice available in the season. We toured the market and tried a bunch of local fruit we've never tried before. We made watermelon and orange pearls ourselves, and tried with different combinations of teas. Wayne is super approachable and this was an awesome experience, highly recommend!!

5.00HS Trip with Students from DC Spacious, Clean and FUN! It’s nice to learn how to prepare some of our favorite foods and eat it up afterwards!! Chef and his team were patient and welcoming. The space was adequate for a group of 22.
