What To Expect

Learn how to enjoy French food with François during this tour. François is a world-renowned food expert, from Le Cordon Bleu of Julia Child to his own Champagne House. he will explain the history of dishes such as onion soup, baguettes, snails and foie gras. François is an oenologist, so you will have the opportunity to ask him any questions you have about French wines. This experience can be adapted to your wishes, provided you communicate them before and during the tour. Not afterwards!

    I purchased this tour because I wanted a nice French dinner. The tour is called "The Best Paris Food Tour with a French expert" however all we did was get 2 glasses of wine in wine bars. I paid $130.00 for this tour, and the description clearly states that it includes dinner. But we did not go to any restaurant. I really wanted an excellent French meal in Paris and was so disappointed.

    Francoise is super knowledgeable about food - what’s local and good and where the ingredients are from and what makes them great. You’ll do a short circuit around the St germain market and I definitely would have passed by a lot of these places if I was traveling alone. I enjoyed this experience!

    This food tour was different than other food tours we’ve taken. It was more of a gourmet food & wine tasting. We only went to two places and sat down to eat at both locations. We had foie gras and escargot from one location along with macrons and chocolate that came from elsewhere. We had steak at the other location. Both tastings included wine or non-alcoholic option. François was incredibly knowledgeable and we learned a lot. I think the tour could be described a little better, so people know not to expect the multi-stop little tastings that most people think of as a food tour. The tour seemed a little pricey for what we got.

    The food and wine were absolutely excellent. The cheese was phenomenal and the foi gras was to die for. We enjoyed the stories by Francois and the lively conversation. Very fun evening!
