Our “Great Round Tour” with Jens Olafsson was a memorable experience. Jens had prepared an impressive array of sites for our tour, which included examples of all the different kinds of Icelandic landscapes. We saw all major attractions and also many more intimate locations that made for a well-rounded itinerary. We were able to see everything as planned for the tour. Jens was very knowledgeable about all of the sites and provided a full and helpful context for every stop. In fact, he provided a comprehensive historical context for the entire tour. Practical matters were handled well. The accommodations were good, and Jens made the nightly change in locations more comfortable by taking care of the entire registration process each time. Jens’ driving was expert and he managed the schedule with expertise. We wanted to save money by bringing our own lunches as a picnic, and Jens was careful to find suitable locations for us to enjoy lunch. Jens is a very experienced tour guide who manages the practicalities with ease and provides a comprehensive and very enjoyable experience of Iceland. We have no hesitations in recommending his excellent services.

A great tour for seeing a lot of Iceland including the Westfjords. Jens took us to the iconic sites plus much more. Great accommodations. Overall this was a great way to see a lot of Iceland with little stress. Definitely would recommend.

The Great Round Tour was one of the very best trips I've taken. I was expecting a lot and Jens delivered, taking us to all kinds of places with some well off the standard "ring tour" that I wouldn't have known or tried to see on my own. The variety of sites on this trip is amazing with national park quality views everywhere. Also, if you're wondering whether or not to take the extra time to visit the northwest part of Iceland then DO IT with the Great Round Tour! I booked this trip to see that area and was glad I did. The NW is so different and gorgeous with some of the best scenery of the entire trip. Believe me, you will finish this trip confident that you have truly experienced Iceland. Just one negative about the trip: Jens needs to fix the PA system on the bus. It was weak and prone to static/interference, making it hard to hear him at highway speeds.

Noone can show you the otherworldly terrain of Iceland than native Jens Olafsson and his Great Round Tour. In 13 short days and 4200 kilometers we experienced waterfalls, glaciers, icebergs, volcanoes, craters, lava fields, bubbling geysers, hot springs, black and red sand beaches, and blue lakes while seeing birds, horses, reindeer, goats, sheep, lambs and more! Each day ended at a unique hotel tucked into a magical remote destination with fabulous accommodations and curated dinners. We woke up to great breakfasts to prepare us for the day's adventure. This tour was the true definition of a trip of a lifetime through one of the most unique countries in the world.

Jens organised a very thorough and detailed itinerary around Iceland. We saw and experienced so many sites of geological, geographical, historical and cultural significance. We stayed in comfortable accommodations which provided excellent breakfasts and dinners. This was a fantastic tour, that was well organised and well executed by Jens, who provided informative commentary throughout and added some Icelandic folk tales at times. Highly recommend this small group tour if you want to see the many highlights that Iceland offers.

The absolute best tour if you want a combination of sightseeing and light hiking. It’s not a hard core adventure tour, but there are times and places to hike. It’s a very complete itinerary given the time allowed. Jens makes sure you see places and travel roads that the “big” companies simply don’t do. Jens is also very knowledgable, and if you compare competitors prices, you will see this is an absolute bargain. If you want to see Iceland in a reasonable amount of time, then you simply can’t do better than Fun Travel.

One of the reasons why I picked this tour was because of the farmhouse stays. The locations were in the country but very nice and were so relaxing and beautiful!! I enjoyed the photo stop with the Icelandic ponies and all of the beautiful scenery we saw: waterfalls galore, stunning skies and countryside, compelling coastlines, the brilliant glacier and lagoon cruise, the shiny diamonds on the black beach, and of course the Puffins! The food at each of the guesthouses was superb and some of the best food I have eaten in my life! Iceland definitely lived up to the hype and exceeded my expectations. All the time, money, and effort to get to Iceland are definitely worth it! This tour is excellent value for money and I would recommend it.

After extensive research I decided to go with Jens as my dealings and his approach I felt very comfortable with. Jens dos not offer a "LUXURY" tour, this in no ways means the tour is "BASIC". The difference between the 2 in my opinion is only the "LUXURY" tour operated from a Mercedes Sprinter Luxury van ,as the equivalent tour was $5,000 - $6,000 I was extremely happy I chose Jens and his ford vehicle, it added to comparing and companionship of my fellow travellers as a solo traveller. As for the trip - Accomadation - 8 to 10 / 10 Meals - 7 to 10/10 Jens - 10/10 Itinerary - 3200 kilometres of WOW!!

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our action-packed journey with Jens and Fun Travels. We had a hectic pace with a different hotel each night. The accommodations were good and often in small family-owned farm houses. The included breakfasts and dinners were excellent. Our lunches were always at a restaurant with good food at our expense. Foods and drinks are expensive so be aware. Jens was very knowledgeable about the areas we travelled through. In addition to the popular tourist destinations, he always seemed to find many smaller out of the way stops that we likely would never have found on our own. I do not think he could have packed anything else into the itinerary. He entertained us with some folk stories to give us a flavor of the Icelandic culture. We were always on the go seeing spectacular scenery and so many waterfalls. Iceland has some very rugged volcanic areas but also several agricultural areas with luscious green hay fields and plenty of sheep. I suggest guests arrive a day or 2 early or stay an extra day or two to see more of Reykjavík. We covered so much ground driving the circumference of the island. Be prepared for lots of walking - walking sticks were helpful in some areas. Definitely a highlight of our world travels.
