Loved the train ride. No good if you’re tall. Not a lot of room. Which I expected a little bit. But not so bad as it was. Expected to see more exhibition things like in the advert.

A good museum. Well laid out with clear exhibit captions. The ticket is for one year multiple entry and includes one ride on the former Post Office Railway. Nice café and not too pricey for the area. Pre-book to ensure getting on the railway.

London Postal Museum, we stayed with our son who enjoyed the train ride in the tunnels where historically mail was sorted (don't be afraid if at some point all the lights go out, it's part of the tour). Across the street there is a small museum, recommended

I have known about the Post Office Railway, from when I lived in London in the 1980s and never envisaged the chance to ever see it. This whole story is told from start to finish and a fantastic ride through the tunnels with full commentary by past Postal workers. The Museum, across the road, follows the complete history of The Royal Mail with many artefacts from bygone eras. There are many interactive exhibits to keep young children happy, too. The free guided tours are well worth doing. Our guide was a really great guy who was happy in his job and very informative. Well worth a visit.

A really interesting and quirky museum in the heart of London, it’s laid out really well and the exhibits are all well presented and there is lots to touch and view from history including how the Mail continued during the Second World War. Not as crowded as other London more famous museums and definitely worth a visit

One of the best museums I’ve been to anywhere. I knew nothing about the mail train and found it all fascinating and the museum managed to entertain two adults, a 6 year old and a 2 year old, quite impressive. The mail train was really well preserved and the videos along the way gave a fascinating insight into the history of the space. Will be recommending it highly

The train ride through the tunnels was really interesting and informative Once off, the interactive exhibits were great. Really enjoyed it. Staff were really attentive and friendly. Ask about our luggage before we had to ask where we could leave it. Museum over the rode felt like a bit of an after thought. Cafe was good. Please with the gluten free options.

  • Worth checking out off the beaten track.

We opted for the postal museum having earlier visited the national history museum. There are plenty of interactive exhibits for the children to play with and the mail train ride is a bonus. There is a nice cafe at the museum, which you can visit without admission into the museum itself.
