Did you know that the Royal Albert Hall once hosted a séance; flooded the auditorium with 56,000 litres of water for an opera concert; and that criminals, as well as musicians and politicians, have graced the Hall’s stage?
You can uncover more stories like this, as well as ask your own questions, on a Royal Albert Hall Tour. Together with a friendly guide, you’ll take a peek at the royal areas, see the breathtaking auditorium, and glimpse the stage where the world’s stars have appeared – from Arctic Monkeys to Muhammad Ali, BBC Proms to Beyoncé, Cirque du Soleil to Winston Churchill, and Albert Einstein to Ed Sheeran.
You’ll discover how the building was funded, the royal love story that nearly stopped it from being built, and how we solved one of the UK’s most enduring engineering challenges – the Royal Albert Hall echo! You might even be lucky enough to hear a legendary artist in soundcheck!

A tour that covers the history, structure, some of memorable events of the Royal Albert Hall. The supplied digital guide helped make things visual, for those who learn that way, the tour felt thorough, and my guide (I think it was Ruth) was of course very knowledgeable.

Excellent volunteers lead tour . So informative . So much history. Would loved to have heard the sound system, but they were setting up for a performance. Well, worth the time and energy to attend this tour..

Outstanding experience. Far more interesting and informational than I had expected. A great guide (Joe Phillipe SP?) who is from Malta, has a vast knowledge of the building and relates it to his group (blessedly small - about a dozen) in a passionate entertaining manner. We learned soooo much in a fun time with access to the king's box and other private areas.

We had a death in the family this year. We had purchased tickets for December, which had not been issued. We determined that we could not afford the trip due to helping with funeral expenses. Even though we purchased booking protect and we provided a death certificate with what we thought was a reasonable explanation, they refused to refund the $118. Their practice is unethical and this should be shut down. We assume that they resell the same seats, so they are collecting twice the amount of the original sale. Shame on this venue for allowing this company to tarnish their reputation. If there is any speculation that you may not be able to make the trip---do not buy the tickets.

attended Angham’s concert at the Royal Albert Hall in London on September 23, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. From the moment she appeared on stage, her powerful voice and emotional performance captivated the entire audience. The event was very well organized by Live Nation, everything ran smoothly, and the atmosphere was elegant and professional. The Royal Albert Hall itself is an iconic and historic venue that adds a unique grandeur to the evening. The lounges, such as the Bridge Lounge & Bar, were stylish and refined, adding a luxurious touch. However, I was genuinely surprised by the seating. With ticket prices exceeding £1,000, the chairs were very basic and clearly not renewed for many years. When paying such an amount, we expect the level of comfort and service to match the value we are investing. London has become very expensive in many aspects, yet the quality offered does not always reflect the high cost. Overall, Angham delivered a breathtaking performance, the organization was excellent, and the venue remains iconic. With some updates to the seating and a better balance between pricing and value, the experience would truly be flawless.

The tour was booked for a group of 6 followed by afternoon tea. We were greeted by friendly red jacketed staff and a superb guide Mandy brought the halls history to life ! Her stories and recollection of facts were fantastic and made the afternoon tour an outstanding experience

The Royal Albert Hall is impressive in its own right, but the tour made it totally special. When you book a guided tour, you naturally hope for a guide who talks passionately – and we were lucky enough to do that with Mandy! She took us into the rich history of the RAH and the special bond with the royals. Her enthusiasm and many fun facts made sure that it never became boring. An absolute must for anyone who really wants to experience this iconic place!

A unique place and our guide was knowledgeable. However 75% of the hour’s tour was spent in corridors outside the arena telling us of the history of the theatre which I could have got from Wikipedia. It was good to visit the Royal Box and briefly and quietly sit in the arena whilst an orchestra rehearsed. But a theatre tour it was not.
