Tickets to the Forbidden City require a real-name reservation 7 days in advance and are easily sold out, so you are advised to book the tour as early as possible. Otherwise, international travelers will need to line up at the entrance to buy tickets.
Please get ready at the meeting point at least 5 minutes in advance of the pick-up time confirmed with you a day before. No-show is non-refundable.
Please provide the correct passport information for booking the real-name tickets. Make sure to carry the same identification when travelling; otherwise, you’ll be refused entry by the scenic areas.

At around 08:00 am, meet your tour guide at the meeting point.
Tiananmen Square
Let’s take a leisurely stroll on Tiananmen Square while admiring the brilliant landmark buildings around. Note: To pass through the security check quickly, especially during holidays, we suggest you leave your bag in the car and carry only your passport and bottled water to go through the no-bag passage.

5.00Helen did an excellent job explaining the forbidden city and the main square in Beijing I highly recommend Helen to be your guide for future endeavors Her knowledge and understanding of the history of the two locations was top notch .Be sure you have good comfortable shoes as you will cover a large area in a short time Helen is a top notch travel guide and you can’t go wrong using her to be your guide The tour is fast paced to insure that you get to see all the the forbiddin city has to offer Admission fees were covered on this tour once again great tour and great guide our tour was around 4 hours

She was friendly, helpful and genuinely fun to be with, accompanying us throughout the entire tour and assisting us smoothly during all security checks and access procedures. Her explanations were clear, thorough and engaging, combining historical background, interesting details and curiosities about the sites with insightful information about Chinese society, including contemporary aspects. Highly recommended for her professionalism and kindness. 5.00Our guide, Helen, was experienced and knowledgeable, warm and friendly, and goes out of her way to make the short 3+ hour absolutely packed with interesting things + bringing us through the absolute essentials of Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City. For the amount paid, this is definitely worth it - much better than any AI generated itinerary. Speaks fluent English, code switches between Chinese and English if she knows you understand. Knows where the crowds are, and brings you through the tour-guide-only shortcuts, allowing us to skip through majority of the queue and avoid the dangerous icy slippery areas, and helped us take awesome photos as well! Warm and friendly, our "Helen's family" had a great time :)

5.00Helen had a wealth of knowledge about the Forbidden City. She knew all the spots to get the views that were away from the crowds. The interpretation was helpful to understand the cultural significance of the site. After the half day tour we spent the rest of the day exploring the other areas of the palace which have many great displays of cultural artifacts.

5.00Helen is such a warm personality and highly motivated and funny guide (very recommendable!), She showed us every detail in the region and she gave us such valuable informations. I truly enjoyed with her my day trip to the Forbidden city, Tiananmen square and the Great Wall of China. The places were very beautiful, it was a relieve to walk in such beautiful and historical places. The atmosphere was so special that it really felt like we all know each others since a long time.
