Asakusa
Asakusa is a historic district in Tokyo, best known for Sensoji, the city’s oldest and most famous Buddhist temple. Blending tradition with modern energy, the area features Nakamise Shopping Street, where visitors can find local snacks and souvenirs, as well as Hanayashiki, Japan’s oldest amusement park. Asakusa also offers a glimpse into Tokyo’s past with its nostalgic streets, lively izakayas on Hoppy Street, and scenic views of the Sumida River, making it a must-visit destination for culture and history enthusiasts.
Tsukiji Fish Market
Tsukiji Fish Market, once the world’s largest seafood market, remains a must-visit destination for food lovers in Tokyo. While the inner wholesale market has relocated to Toyosu, the outer market still thrives with fresh seafood, sushi restaurants, and specialty shops selling everything from dried goods to kitchen tools. It’s the perfect place to experience Tokyo’s culinary culture and savor some of the freshest seafood in the city.

A really nice way to hit the highlights before it got too crowded or hot. Kouta was a great guide, answering all our questions or found the answer for us. He related well with two teenage boys which can be a challenge for anyone.

We booked this tour as an extended family many of whom were new to Japan as we thought it would be a good introduction to Tokyo. The experience totally exceeded our expectations. Our guide Hana was simply excellent. Hana could not have been more friendly or helpful throughout the tour and gave us recommendations on everything from shops at the fish market to dining options and other places to visit in Japan. It is great fun to travel around the city with a local and the experience is highly recommended.

Hana was a great guide. I really felt like we were being shown around Tokyo by a local friend rather than a guide service. She gave great tips on things at fish market, and excellent history and insights in to local culture. Loved the Hachiko statue, what a great story. Nice place to end tour.

Hana was a wonderful guide for our first day in Tokyo! She helped us learn how to ride the train and taught us so much about the city and its history. Our whole family enjoyed ourselves and would recommend this tour :)

The tour was at the early morning. No hasel, no navigation trought the crowds. The stories and the Hystory behind the Temple and and the nearby Shrine is very interesting and be heard from everyone who are interesting in the japanese culture. Thx to my guide Hana, I had a wonderful time at the asakusa early bird tour.
