Step into the heart of Tokyo’s food culture with our Tsukiji Food Tour, where tradition, flavor, and history come alive. Guided by a local expert, this immersive tour takes you through the lively outer market of Tsukiji, once the world’s largest fish market and still the beating heart of Japanese gastronomy.
Discover the stalls and shops that locals have cherished for generations. From freshly grilled skewers to buttery tamagoyaki (Japanese omelet), from silky sashimi to seasonal street snacks, you’ll taste a wide variety of Japanese specialties made with the freshest ingredients. Along the way, your guide will share insider stories about Tsukiji’s history, its connection to Japanese food culture, and how the market continues to thrive today.
The highlight of the tour is a chance to enjoy a sit-down tasting where you’ll savor premium seafood and other delicacies sourced straight from Tsukiji’s vendors. It’s not just a food tour—it’s a journey into the flavors that define Tokyo.

Excellent and varied food tour with Keiko who was very knowledgeable of the market and the food. We tried lots of unusual dishes and drinks and visited places with tastings that we would otherwise probably have just walked past and missed out on if it were not for Keiko. We even had Fugu and obviously lived to tell the tale! This was a superbly informative and delicious experience.

We had the most generous, friendly, memorable, and delicious tour with Keiko yesterday! Although she said the market wasn't too busy, it still was a chaotic swirl of vendors, lines, signs, and tourists. Keiko has been offering this tour for 2 years, and she has it down to an art and science. She knows all the best vendors, and her relationships with them ensure they offer you their finest bites. We enjoyed so much food and so much inside knowledge, including important customs of Japan, that we left our tour satisfied in body, mind, and soul. The tour even included one of the historic Tsukiji vendor buildings and the nearby shrine. Keiko offers you the chance to order or deny every food item, and is sensitive to any dietary restrictions. She patiently took pictures of us during the tour, and was kind and insightful at every turn. I can't imagine a better tour experience. Book it and enjoy something truly special.

What a great tour, definitely the best one we have been on in Tokyo. Keiko was so knowledgeable and gave us a great insight into the history and how things work at the fish markets along with all the different fresh seafood we ate along the way. Us and Our toddlers loved it. We did the tour with 3 kids under the age of 3.

I wouldn’t normally consider myself a ‘tour person,’ so I wasn’t sure if I should book this tour but I am so glad I did! Keiko was just the most lovely and knowledgeable guide- and amazing with my 10-year-old. We had behind-the-scenes access to many shops and saw the best of the best. We were very full. My kid gave the tour ten out of five stars! Would definitely recommend
