What To Expect
Saiko Iyashi no Sato Nemba
Traditional Japanese village located in Fujikawaguchiko Town, known as the most beautiful village in Japan, a picturesque spot with Mt. Fuji in the background. Destroyed by a landslide during a typhoon in 1966, it was reconstructed and reopened as an open-air museum and traditional craft village in 2006. Stroll through this ancient village, and marvel at the unique "armor structure" houses created by the villagers to resist the severe winter snow. Take a closer look at the thatched roofs and experience its livable characteristics of being warm in winter and cool in summer. Standing at the viewing point, overlooking Mount Fuji in the distance, the mountain peak and the roof complement each other, forming a beautiful picture.
Lake Kawaguchiko
Lake Kawaguchi is known as the shining pearl of the five lakes of Fuji, its intricate shoreline offers numerous vantage points to admire Mt. Fuji. Ten thousand years ago, a spectacular eruption of Mount Fuji created this stunning picture of lake and mountain. Stroll along its shores with Mt. Fuji in the background, a serene and awe-inspiring atmosphere, and enjoy the beautiful reflection of Mt. Fuji in the clear water.

4.00Tour guide Kevin was organized, friendly, and energetic - highly recommend. For those considering this tour, note that Mt Fuji is notoriously unpredictable for visibility. On this overcast day, our group saw nothing of the mountain in the distance. Aside from that - which is a big issue in expectation - the tour was good. Did feel dangerously close to just a round of tourist shopping, but the beauty of Oshino and Orishi in particular were highlights. Note, this did not stop at the Natural Center nor the shrine as described, and the ‘visit’ to the lake was just a driveby along the shore very quickly. It was a long day even with those changes (which also weren’t explained).

2.00She guides it very well but the itinerary I do not see interesting. What most people wanted to visit is the pagoda. This hotspot was left until the end of the day when the weather had already worsened. First thing would have been better, with better weather and leave other stops for other times. We ended up going free the next day

4.00The tour guide Yulina was very good. Good information shared and teaching about Japanese words related to area we are visiting. The itinerary was good but another 30 min on each spot might have been better. Wish weather had cooperated for the much awaited viewing of Mt.Fuji. It would have been an unforgettable tour with lots of picture perfect moments, had Mt. Fuji appeared.
