In Okutama, which is surrounded by big nature and natural monuments even in the midst of the big city of tokyo,you will find beautiful scenery and thrilling experiences that no one knows.

The price includes the facility entrance fee, hot spring bath fee, lunch, car charge and expressway fee.

Please arrive at the meeting place 10 minutes before the meeting time. Please let us know if you might late.

Smoking is prohibited in the car while you are moving. Let us know and we will take you the smoking area.

The actual cost will be charged yourself for souvenirs, snacks, and personalized items purchased during the tour.

The area is dotted with many natural monuments and nationally designated protected animals and plants. Please don’t collect them personally.

I plan to use the public bath during the tour. If it is difficult to use, Please let me know in advance. Please understand that we cannot refund the fee in that case.

Souvenirs may not be eligible for tax exemption. Please purchase at your own risk.

Depending on the type of souvenir, it may not pass the airport's censors. Please pay special attention to drinks.

We do not accept any complaints or troubles during the tour.

The tour may be interrupted due to an emergency caused by an earthquake or natural disaster. Please note that we cannot issue a refund in that case.

If you have any additional questions, please ask the organizer.

・The tour is by car. Most of the travel is on mountain roads, so please take care of your own car sickness. If you are easily intoxicated, we will consider where to sit, so please consult with us. If in the event that the vehicle is soiled due to illness, a separate cleaning fee will be charged. (Reported : 10,000 yen, Not reported : 30,000 yen).

・There will be frequent instances of climbing stairs and getting in and out of the vehicle. If you are not confident in your physical strength, we kindly recommend refraining from participating.

・The lunch menu is already fixed. Please let us know in advance if you have any food tastes, food allergies, or religious or foodism reasons.

・During the tour, there are occasions when you walk on mountain roads or use your physical strength. If you are not confident, please let us know in advance. We will consider it.

・During the tour, there are times when you cross a place with bad footing. Please be careful when passing. ・

What To Expect

Hatonosu Valley

At the beginning of your trip, you can feel the breath of nature in Okutama Town. The first part of the trip will be crossing the Hatonosu Valley. At Unzen Bridge, you can enjoy the magnificent scenery unique to Okutama. The fresh air blowing down from the mountains into the valley will quickly blow away the early morning sleepiness and the stale air that has accumulated in the car for a long time.

Nippara Limestone Caves

At first destination, you will do your morning exercise. Nippara Cave is one of the limestone caves that represent of Kanto region. There are lights up in some places, creating a fantastic scenery. As you walk through about 1km long cave, you can feel the age through the stalactites that were created over many thousands of years.

The tour exceeded our expectations. The tour guide was prompt and courteous, and the locations were interesting and varied. The van was comfortable the driver was competent and friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed seeing all the beauty of rural Japan, and some gorgeous natural wonders.

Super trip for those who want to experience the “other side” of Japan near Tokyo. Ayumu picked us up from the hotel on time and drove 3h out of Tokyo. Through the approach route a long day, but very worthwhile. First there was the possibility to stock up on coffee, snacks, ... in a conbini before heading towards Okutama. The first stop was Nippara Cave. Here Ayumu was able to assess how deep it went for me and my partner. Due to a foot injury, I went out early, whereas my partner also looked at the lower levels. Lake Okutama was one of the many highlights that followed, great! The entire composition of the tour was successful, we can definitely recommend it. It deserves special mention that Ayumu has given a great balance between his role as tour guide and breaks/personal freedom for guests. My partner also found his driving skills excellent. Thank you, Ayumu, keep it up! Next time we might see you at the Daikoku meeting.;-)

This was a great opportunity to explore Japan's mountainous forests in just a (long) day trip from urban Tokyo. Our guide was friendly, prompt, and a superb driver. He took our small group to beautiful places (massive cave, waterfall, huge lake, and traditional Japanese farm house), and let us enjoy them on our own, instead of hovering over us. The only disappointment was the fact that the onsen that was an advertised part of the tour was closed.

The places visited on this trip were very different from the other tours I went on and we truly enjoyed the sightseeing. Our guide Ayumo was very good too. The only issues we faced were the lack of vegeterian food and the car was too cramped for the number of people.

For those who want to experience some of rural Japan and nature. Wonderful stops along the way and explanations and opportunity to explore the area. For the waterfall and the gorge you should be tread-proof if you really want to take everything with you.

My tour guide Mr Ayumou is a good guide and a good driver. He is attentive, polite and informative and replying to all emails even before the tour. All the itineraries are covered except for those which are unavoidable such landslides happening in the highland village beforehand and he tried to make up for it by giving alternative options
Cool Caves and Fun Day Outside of Tokyo

This was a very unique tour we took this past April. Our guide was very accommodating and we had a small group of 6. We went to really unique caves- wear good shoes as it was wet in spots-but one of the coolest caves we have been in. We had lunch outside with a pretty view in clay pots we got to keep! It was a great souvenir to bring back home. We went up a little trolley to a traditional Japanese mountain house which was very interesting. Most of us finished the day at an onsen with dinner after. This is a full day tour. It’s amazing how different Tokyo is just 1.5 hours out of central Tokyo. This was one of our favorite tours and highly recommend it!
