What To Expect
At the Tokyo Sumo Festival, you can enjoy authentic sumo cuisine in a relaxed atmosphere while experiencing sumo firsthand. After watching morning sumo training, learning about winning techniques, and seeing live demonstrations, you’ll have the chance to step into the ring and try sumo yourself against a retired sumo wrestler. Please note: Participation is limited and may be determined by lottery if there are many applicants. All seats offer a close-up view of the sumo ring. Upgrade to the front row for an even more intense and immersive sumo experience. After the sumo show, you’ll also get to experience a mikoshi—a traditional portable shrine used in Japanese festivals.

5.00Show in which many aspects of sumo came back, so a piece of history was explained but also the basic techniques and principles. Food was delicious and you could order extra for free! Sumo wrestlers had a lot of humor in the show and really made it a spectacle. Recommended!

4.00The show was a little silly at times, I wish it exaplained about the history of sumo and not just some of the moves. The sumo wrestlers were entertaining. The part where they interact with the crowd and let the crowd participate was so much fun, our favorite!

2.00Sumo wrestlers were great but a very amateur show am afraid was looking forward to watching the wrestling but it was spoilt by all the talking by the host No need for the carrying of the shrine which was also in our opinion just a way of prolonging the show Food very mediocre

5.00The food is filling and delicious! There's a lot of participation from the crowd, even if you don't get to wrestle with the wrestlers. Yuma and Kaito were amazing! Our host was so informative about the Sumo culture, we learned a lot.
