[Sumo Morning Training Option]
Step into the hidden world of sumo wrestling with our exclusive Tokyo Sumo Morning Practice Tour. This is your rare chance to sit just a few feet away from professional wrestlers as they train with full intensity inside an authentic sumo stable.
Unlike shows, this is the real thing—raw, powerful, and deeply traditional. You’ll feel the ground shake with every clash, hear the heavy breaths of the rikishi, and sense the discipline and spirit that have defined sumo for centuries
[ Sumo Practice With Wrestlers Option]
Sumo stables are rarely open to outsiders. But this program offers something truly extraordinary: the chance to observe and learn directly from Sumo wrestlers who live and breathe the sport every single day.
This is an intimate glimpse into the raw intensity of Sumo training, just meters away from the ring. You’ll feel the power, the discipline, and the spirit of the sport as it unfolds before you.

This is the most amazing tour! Mako is the most knowledgeable and fun guide. First morning in Tokyo for an 830 am meet. The Sumo training is just the best and set off our holiday in Japan. Just go!

That was really a very interesting experience. Kaz led us through the entire training session with many informative explanations. She speaks excellent, very understandable English. Highly recommended.

An immersive experience into the world of sumo wrestling. We learned the history, the rules, the training, as well as a day in the life of a sumo professional. We did warmup exercises and some hands on training before actually going one on one with a wrestler! Our guide, Tai, was professional, informative and well versed in the world of sumo. We finished up with a question and answer period with the wrestlers and fun pictures. Appropriate for families, couples and solos. This experience far exceeded my expectations and I would highly recommend!

Wonderful insight to the world of Sumo with our guide Kaz. We were so lucky to see Professional and apprentice Sumo wrestlers training. Such an interesting hour with Kaz keeping us informed via earpiece as to the training methods. There are chairs to sit on and everyone had a good view. Would definitely go again. We had photos taken with the wrestlers afterwards.

It was a great experience and we had to see a lot of fights. The guide is great and give plenty of useful explanations. I advise you to arrive earlier because the seats are not reserved. Thank you a lot to all the sumo and staff.

Amazing experience, super interesting especially with the comments made by the guide. Make sure to dress warmly since it’s in an extension of the stable which is not heated. Also ensure you arrive early for your experience as it is first come first serve in order to get the best seats. Overall I would recommend to see it.

It was a great experience! We learned so much about the sport and the athletes. Our guide, Shun was an excellent host! Our trip was outside the window of sumo tournaments, so since we couldn’t do that, this tour was a great replacement.

It was an incredible honour to see so many wrestlers practising under the watchful eye of their coaches and sumo master. We watched an hour of practise that felt intense, physical and authentic. Our tour guide Shun provided lots of really interesting commentary about the history of sumo and how it is practised today.
