5.00This was an excellent way to see the Prado. I had been there before and wandered on my own which is also enjoyable but Pablo taught me a lot about the paintings (and art in general) which I would not have figured out on my own. He is a very knowledgeable guide and very open to questions. The small group size is also essential - you couldn’t learn nearly as much in a big group.

5.00Pablo led us through the most important works in the Prado, starting with the Flemish Renaissance artists and working through to Las Meninas. By pointing out different innovations in painting over time, he let us truly appreciate the incredible mastery of Velasquez in this work and why so many painters who came after were influenced by it. We then skipped forward to Goya, seeing some of his key works including the Dark Paintings. Pablo also shared with us his approach of a kind of art therapy, using feelings we have about paintings to understand our own emotions. Highly recommended!

5.00I can’t say enough good things about this experience… It was my first time doing an art tour and I’m so glad we did. I don’t think I will do an art museum again without a tour because the amount that you learn from hearing the history and the background of each piece of work and how they all tie to each other elevated the whole experience. I was traveling with a friend who’s not into art and even she said she found it very interesting and would do it again.

5.00Pablo was excellent!! We learned so much about art history and how artists are influenced by the previous generations of artists. We had no idea the strong influence of the Flemish painters on modern artists.
