What To Expect

Tower of London

Your tour will begin just in front of the main entrance, where you will be given a short introduction to the history of the Tower of London before being led in to meet the Beefeater dedicated to your small group. From stories of traitorous plots to tales of royal scandal, the guards of the Tower of London will bring this attraction to life before your eyes. Your small group will also enable you plenty of chances to ask questions and interact directly with the Beefeater as they lead you through this ancient fortress.

The Crown Jewels

After your tour, continue to discover the Tower at your leisure including a visit to the infamous Bloody Tower, a tour of the old Royal Mint, or a visit to the home of the stunning Crown Jewels. Because of our early morning start time, you will be among the first visitors into the Tower and will have the opportunity to explore without the usual large crowds. At times an important stronghold, a magnificent palace, and an intimidating prison; the Tower of London is a must-see attraction for those interested in British history. Don’t miss out on the opportunity for a guided tour with those most familiar with it – the Beefeaters.

Lisa was our tour guide. Very knowledgeable about the towers history and all the people that lived there. She and also told us about the history of the yeoman warders which was quite nice. She did an excellent job of guiding us through changing of the guard as well. Well spoken and entertaining

We booked a private meet-and-greet tour with a Beefeater for our group of 18, expecting an exclusive and personalized experience. Unfortunately, once we entered the Tower, our group more than doubled within minutes as others not part of our party joined in. Despite raising my concerns to the tour guide, nothing was done to address the issue. Members of our original group even thanked me for speaking up, as many of us felt frustrated and crowded out of what was supposed to be a private event. Considering the cost of this experience, it was very disappointing. We did not receive the value or quality that was promised. I hope future groups receive better organization and that the experience better reflects what's advertised.

Go first thing in the morning before the crowds arrive! Our yeoman guide, Tom, was knowledgeable and witty. Take time after your guide is finished to explore all the nooks and crannies of the Tower.
