We did a tour in late October 2025 that was led by Dan (Danxia). Our bus driver was Lucian. The tour consisted of stops at Stonehenge, Windsor Castle, and Oxford. It was a cold overcast day with intermittent drizzling rain and sustained winds. But despite the less than optimal weather, we had an enjoyable time. Dan’s attitude and skill as a tour guide played a major role in keeping everyone’s spirits up. She did an excellent job with all aspects of her role. She was thorough and consistent about the basic requirements such as of keeping us informed about our itinerary and departure times between stops, sharing tips about finding toilets, being very careful about accounting for everyone on the full bus, including some late returning stragglers, and by sharing practical tips about the trains to take after we returned. Dan was a highly skilled guide who was friendly, easy to understand, and credible. We were impressed by her obvious knowledge of the destinations. As we went through the itinerary Dan provided interesting information about each of our 3 destinations. This was really helpful as a source of perspective. She led a walking tour of Oxford that was quite informative and enjoyable. Dan was friendly from the first time she introduced herself until we said goodbye after spending about 10 hours together. I highly recommend her as a tour guide. Lucian was professional and friendly. He drove carefully and did a good job of keeping us safe.

This tour packed in a lot. The weather was windy, rainy & cold at Stonehenge due to Storm Amy, but we still got to see everything. I wish they’d reorder the tour to avoid backtracking so more time could be spent in Windsor & Oxford though—by the time we got to Oxford, Christchurch & other sites were closing so we didn’t get to see much.
