An epic day trip from Rome to the archaeological site of Pompeii and the picturesque Amalfi Coast, both UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Enjoy a private group trip in an air-conditioned minivan with an assistant. The first stop is Pompeii: our official guide will accompany you to visit the main areas, such as the Macellum, the Baths, the meeting places of the Romans and the homes of the wealthiest citizens, to learn about their habits and customs. After Pompeii, we will head to Positano, an ancient seaside village.
Stop for lunch, sightseeing, shopping and relaxation.
The trip continues with a visit to Amalfi or one of the other pearls of the Amalfi Coast, such as Maiori or Vietri sul Mare, where you can taste the famous local liqueur "Limoncello" and their delicious sweets. Continuing, we will return to Rome bringing with you images and scenarios that you will remember forever.

Good concept, poor execution

2.00In theory the tour would have been amazing. But our guide’s lack of knowledge and effort created a subpar experience. At the beginning of the tour, our guide told us he did not plan on sharing any facts about the journey or the places we would see. Our driver didn’t speak English so was not able to pick up where our tour guide lacked. The stop at Pompeii was fantastic but largely because our guide passed us off to an experienced Pompeii guide for our walk through the grounds. We didn’t realize the drive from Pompeii to Positano was extremely curvy, and our driver’s speed and abrupt stops did not make us feel safe. Our guide walked us to the restaurant the tour recommended. The only piece of useful info he shared the entire day was the quality of the pizza at this restaurant. His only other comments were complaints about his personal life. We travelled alongside another van from the same tour company throughout the day and they raved about their tour experience. After asking our guide if the island in front of us was Capri and he told us he did not know, we asked the other group’s guide. (It was not.) Our guide fell asleep on the ride back and we were unable to ask for adjustments to the AC since our driver couldn’t understand. The only redeeming quality of our tour was the beauty of Pompeii and the Amalfi coast.

5.00We went in August and it was hot, so wear comfy cool clothing and shoes. Take a bottle of water with you. absolutely amazing trip and highly recommend. We had a driver and a tour guide in the vehicle with 4 other tourists. The vehicle was very comfortable and air conditioned. Our tour of Pompeii - the tour guide there was very knowlegable and answered all of our questions. Learned alot! After Pompeii, we were transported to Positano, where the streets were so narrow and one way. Our driver, Fabrezio, was spot on! So careful and handled the vehicle very well. Our tour guide, Sam, made sure we had reservations at a restaurant on the beach and it was amazing! Then, we had time to shop and even had a lemoncello tasting - thanks, Sam, for arranging that! This is a must so you do not have to drive from Rome to the other towns. It was about 13 hours, so do not make any other plans for that day. So much fun meeting the other tourists who were also friendly! Also, the tour van picked us up at our hotel which was a bonus! Thank you so much, you made us feel welcomed :)

Giuseppe (our tour guide) and Massimiliano (our driver) provided us with the best day trip to view the beautiful Pompeii and Amalfi Coast. If you’re short on time to view these places, this is the best way to get a taste. Loved the small group, as it’s very intimate. Get the Limoncella while in Positano! A trip worth every penny!
