During periods of Sede Vacante, the Sistine Chapel will be closed to the public without prior notice due to the Papal Conclave (election of a new Pope). As this is a decision made by the Vatican, access to the Sistine Chapel is not guaranteed during these times. No refunds or discounts will be issued in the event of such closures.
Restricted Items: Items such as weapons, glass, sharp objects, food, and alcohol aren’t allowed inside for security reasons.
ID Requirements: Your booking name must match your government-issued ID, which is required for entry. Different tickets apply to adults and minors, so please book accurately.

2.00I'm well aware that many of these tours request that you arrive 15 to 20 mins in advance because they want to start on-time, but it's another thing when they start LATE. I was annoyed from the very beginning, because it seemed disorganized at their offices, and the stickers they gave us kept falling off our clothes. Our tour guide kept forgetting the English words, read off the museum plates (we could have done that ourselves) and it felt like our path didn't make much sense in navigating the Vatican. And there's no skip the line for the church itself, you will be waiting with everyone else and it's a WAIT. Honestly, for the price point, I was rather disappointed and we ended a lot later than what was listed on the website.

4.00Our tour guide Henry was very knowledgeable and nice. But I feel the Vatican tour was a little bit too long . I was disappointed that Henry did not give us time for pictures as well. He went straight through for 2 hours and wasn’t allowing any stopping which I was disappointed about. Overall it was great

2.00I know the timing is this tour was not the best, Labor Day, Jubilee and the passing of the pope. But we really needed a tour guide ther spoke English better. The tour lasted longer than scheduled as she was tying to formulate her words and explain more and or try to overly compensate for the language barrier. Was hoping for a lot more so this was a fail on the tour company here!

3.00We happen to hit this tour on the wring day. The Sistine Chapel was closed and we didn’t know it until the tour started. The “skip the line” was a joke as we waited 40 minutes to get into St Peters Basilica. The new Pope had just been named 2 days before so the crowds were impossible. We even had a group of backpackers bully their way and cut our line with no repercussions. A 3 hour tour turned into 4 1/2 and a LOT of standing around. Our guide was wonderful, it was not her fault.
