Angels & Demons Tour

A unique and interesting way to go sightseeing in Rome, this ‘Angels and Demons’ tour is inspired by Dan Brown’s novel, but there is no requirement for having it read it or being a fan of Brown’s (although it may help!). It’s a memorable way to explore the city’s lovely squares, fountains, architecture and churches, made interesting with the twist of visiting lesser-known sites where pagan and Christian symbolism intertwine.

Your experience visiting the real-life locations that inspired the novel begins at Piazza del Popolo in the incredible Santa Maria del Popolo church. Here, your English-speaking guide will set the scene for your race against the clock through the eternal city. You’ll be invited to unlock centuries-old clues hidden in plain sight as you learn about Rome’s favorite sculptor: the inimitable Bernini. Your guide will play a key role in making your tour an unforgettable experience as you are led on a quest to separate fact from fiction and history from stories in the novel.

A must see for Amy fans of Angels and Demons (book or movie) walk through Italy as the story unfolds. Learn fact from fiction. See amazing sites of Rome in the comfort of a van. Our tour guide Rob made the story come to life as he portrayed the characters acting out events and having visual guides to help. It was like watching the movie, reading the book, but instead of seeing it in your mind or on the screen it is happening live right in front of you!

Even my daughter who has not read the book but has seen the movie thought it was one of the best tours we took during our stay in Rome. Our guide was well excited about highlights in the book as well as knowledgeable on historic sights within the area of our tour. The minivans were a bonus as most tours are walking tours.

Do not book this tour on a Sunday morning. We were not able to go into any of the churches because of Sunday services. What a high dissatisfaction since the point was to see the works of Bernini as part of the tour. Our tour guide, Inti, did his best to make a bad situation as good as possible. I feel we should get compensation from Viator for allowing a tour on Sunday morning that was unable to fulfill its promise of the very thing we signed up for!

This was a really fun tour. We visited all the main monuments in the book and the guide was very good and engaging. I would recommend this tour to any Angels and Demons fan.

Did this tour today (9th Sept) and it was excellent!! There were only four of us on the tour which made it feel extra special! My boyfriend and I are huge fans of the book/film and we loved the tour just as much!! Our guide was very knowledgable, enthusiastic, and even helped us with recommendations on where to get the best tiramisu! I’d recommend the Angels and Demons tour to anyone!! A great way to spend the day, see so many sights, learn, and it’s worth every penny!!

I went on the Angels and Demons tour in Rome and it was absolutely incredible. Our tour guide, Rob, was fantastic – unbelievably knowledgeable about both the facts and the fiction behind the book and film. He explained every site with so much depth, passion, and humour that it genuinely felt like stepping into the story itself. This is hands down the best tour I’ve ever been on. If you love the Angels and Demons book or film, Rob will certainly bring it alive for you. Highly recommended to anyone visiting Rome!
