What To Expect
Take to the streets of Shibuya with award winning street photographer Laurence Bouchard. Laurence has been shooting the streets of Shibuya for over 10 years and has an extensive knowledge of cool locations. He’s also been running photography workshops for a few years and can help guests elevate their night photography. The workshop will begin with a brief chat about camera settings and then we'll start at the world’s busiest crossing in Shibuya. Here we’ll focus on panning shots. Laurence will then guide guests to cool locations he’s discovered and help customers come away with some beautiful, neon, blade-runner inspired photos.

5.00I had an amazing experience during Laurence’s night photography workshop in Tokyo. His passion for street photography is contagious, and he shares his knowledge in a clear, approachable way. We explored some of the most vibrant areas of Shibuya and Shinjuku, and Laurence offered great tips on composition, lighting, and technique that really elevated my work. This was also a unique way to see the city from a local photographer’s perspective. Highly recommend this experience to anyone interested in photography—whether beginner or advanced. It was a highlight of my trip!

5.00Laurance was on time and great to work with. I'm a competent photographer, so did not need help with my camera. My wife was using her phone camera. Laurance showed us locations and angles to capture the vibe of Shibuya at night. He was very patient in showing my wife what her phone camera was capable of and she got some wonderful photos as well. The night was cold and rainy, but frankly the wetness and umbrellas added more interest to the scenes we took photos at. I would recommend Laurance without any hesitation.

5.00The places Laurence will take you are in plain sight, yet you would never think of stopping there to photograph. But then again, everything is in plain site in Tokyo. Or is it? The 2 hour workshop has a true Blade Runner feel to it. He will show you a picture of what the final should look like and provide settings to you if needed. It is well worth the fee that is charged and you will walk away with some incredibly creative images!

5.00Laurence has great knowledge of very visual photo spots in Shibuya and is able to easily explain to workshop participants on how to capture great images. I have more than 40 years photo experience and I really enjoyed spending a coupe of hours with Laurence making images in one of Tokyo’s most visual locations. I highly recommend this to anyone who would like to make some great images and to extend their personal photographic eye.

5.00I followed this evening workshop accompanied by my 11 years old son and we had both a great time. Laurence is a really nice guy, very talented and resourceful. He knows his playground very well and he shared with us some very cool night spots in Shibuya for street photography. He gave me many tips and I learned a lot from his approach to street photography. I am pretty sure it will help me to grow in my own practice. Laurence also took care of my son during the tour, giving him some advice as well. And my son actually took pretty nice shot during the tour ! Thanks Laurence :) If I come back to Tokyo, I will definitely follow another workshop with Laurence ! If you get the chance, don't think too much, just book one of them. You won't regret.
