The Colosseum is also known as the Flavian Amphitheatre is the largest amphitheater which was completed in AD 80. The colossal amphitheater is said to accommodate around 50000 spectators. It was used for gladiatorial contests, mock battles enactments, mythological dramas, animal hunts, and executions until the medieval ages.
The Colosseum as we see it today is broken from one side due to natural disasters, earthquakes, and also due to the visitors who carried the pieces as souvenirs.

Colosseum
Rome’s greatest amphitheatre was commissioned by Emperor Vespasian in AD 72 on the marshy site of a lake in the ground of Nero’s palace, the Domus Aurea. Deadly gladiatorial combats and wild animal fights were staged free of charge by the emperor and wealthy citizens for public viewing.
Palatine Hill
On the next visit, you can choose Palatine Hill, which is the centremost of the Seven Hills of Rome, is one of the most ancient parts of the city and has been called "the first nucleus of the Roman Empire. The site is now mainly a large open-air museum while the Palatine Museum houses many finds from the excavations here and from other ancient Italian sites.

Abusive and usurious commissions of 100% of the value of tickets. At no time did they detail the cost of management. After making the payment they sent me the tickets worth 36 euros in total and they had charged me 72 euros.

Unwise company. We bought 7 tickets to the Colosseum. We arrived at the meeting point half an hour earlier, where we were met by a person responsible. He took our details and checked with the invoice we were carrying that we had bought seven tickets. When the guide comes and when it comes to make the tour, he tells us that because of a mistake of the company we can only enter six people but that they return the money of that entrance. Almost a week has passed and they have not written us an email or returned our money. We're still waiting...

I bought my tickets from Get a guide online. I expected a guide for the tour but instead it was an audio guide for the coliseum which was actually enough as everything is well labelled inside. However without a guide or audio guide both the Palatine Hill and the Forum were lost on me. Didn’t really know what I was looking at apart from them being Roman ruins.

I had previously posted a review related to an audible self tour with viator that was very disappointing. After posting my experience, I was contacted by a representative of the company who advised the payment made for the tour we were scheduled to take would be refunded. We had not requested the refund as my understanding was that no refund would be considered. We were surprised & impressed that the company offered, was concerned about our experience, & their assurance of their attempt to rectify the issue even though their records indicated we had “no showed”, which was not the case. I am therefore correcting my impression & review that viator has gone above our expectations & I do recommend others to schedule their tours with viator as they very obviously care about their customers having the best experience they can offer.
