Not normally a fan of guided tours but well worth the money

5.00Lovely Italian guide (think she said her name was Sylvia?) who was extremely knowledgeable and read her audience very well. if you are on the fence about a guided tour then you might find the fact that 2000 people per hour enter the Vatican and the queues for non guided entry can be up to 3 hours long!

1.00The tour operator canceled the tour with no explanation and with very little notice. The tour was reserved a couple of months prior to travel, because early morning tours of the Vatican are in very high demand. The last minute cancelation left us scrambling for another tour, and there was NO availability with any other provider for the dates of travel now. This was a top priority for the trip, and missing out on this experience is extremely disappointing. The tour operator could have reached out and offered alternative dates or alternative tour options, but they did not. Instead, they canceled with no reason given. This is a terrible way to do business, and I would caution anyone who schedules a tour with them to be aware that they may ruin your trip by doing something similar.
