I can highly recommend this tour. We discovered amazing foodie spots whilst also exploring streetart. Alice was a fantastic guide!

A very different side of London most won’t typically see. Enjoy the beauty of the east side with awesome guides and stops that will show you the diverse growth of London.

The East London Food tour was absolutely great! Our host Alice brought us around spots of east London we would never have known about or tried! Started with coffee then some bagels, we were then brought to Spitafields market for some Ethiopian food, off for a pint, then for Indian tapas in a lovely restaurant and finished with dessert in a Turkish sweet shop. Alice was extremely informative and so easy to talk to, felt like I knew her years! She had a great knowledge of the history, culture and street art of East London and explained everything really well, it was really great stuff she was telling us! We finished up the tour well fed and well informed!

Second tour with Yaz and both have been excellent. So knowledgeable about the area, friendly, warm, passionate...and the food stops were great. Highly recommend Alternative London AND Yaz if you want to see the East End from a different perspective, behind the veneer.

Had a great tour today with Yaz. She was very good company, with terrific knowledge of the area. Along with superb food like salt beef beigels and Bangladeshi Michelin quality fare, we learned about the waves of immigrants who characterized the East End and the brave and talented street artists who struggle to keep it relevant.

Art, food, history. The perfect combination for a tour. Yaz, our tour guide was informative and clearly impassioned about the East End. Great tour!

Arrive hungry, I was absolutely stuffed by the end. Also doubled as a bit of an art/culture tour of the area as we walked around. Definitely recommended!

Yasmin was a brilliant guide; her local knowledge and knowledge of history is amazing. This was a surprise gift for us and we didn't really know what to expect, but we thoroughly enjoyed the food on offer (traditional beigel, delicious Indian food (an egg curry, no less), steamed buns and homemade fudge, as well as a local beer) and learning a bit more about the area of London that we haven't fully explored before.

Yasmin- this lass knows her sh**t! Made us feel comfortable, welcome and gave us lots of information and history on the local area as well as showing us some great street art and amazing food! Couldn’t recommend it any higher!

We had a great time, the almost three hours of sightseeing marched at full speed. Not only did we discover the gastronomic riches of East London, but our super guide Yasmin introduced us to the history of the place and street art. She knows almost all the artists whose frescoes she showed us, and knows how to pass on her passion. Always listening to us, knowing many anecdotes, our guide adapted his speech to the neophytes that we are without ever making us feel like strangers to street art. We are fans of unusual tours and small details that no one stops in front of but that are full of meaning, and our guide has read them prominently for us. Life in Shoreditch is hectic and you can feel it with this guided tour. In short, go ahead, you will not be disappointed.
