What a great way to spend an evening in Glasgow! This was a small group tour (7 guest) and our guide was Leigh (forgive me if I've spelled it incorrectly). Leigh was very engaging and spent a bit of time knowing all of her guests and what they liked/disliked in a beer. Then off we went! Her knowledge of beer is astonishing! From the science of it, to the physical attributes, methods of brewing, the taste, and how to properly taste. She would "surprise" us with different beers and we would discuss all aspects of it and try to guess what we were drinking. Who knew that having a few beers could be so educational? This was a really enjoyable way to see a few pubs, try a few beers, and make a few new friends. Highly recommend.

What a brilliant way to soak up Glasgow’s history — and its pub culture! Lei was an absolute gem of a guide: knowledgeable, quick-witted, and a born storyteller. We laughed, we learned, and we raised a few glasses along the way. The perfect blend of facts and fun — highly recommend for anyone who likes their history served with wee drink. We learned a heck of a lot about beer too!

This tour is a mix of walking history tour of Glasgow and pub visits with tastings and information about the beers we sampled. Our guide Iain was amazing. He knows a ton about the city of Glasgow and shared a lot of information in an entertaining way. He asked for our guidance about what types of beers we would want to try to give us the best experience which was great as well. The three pubs we stopped at we unique and fun and the walking tour part was paced well. This is such a great tour and myself and my family highly recommend it.

We enjoyed seeing Scotland in a small setting and in locally owned bars. This was actually our guide’s last tour before her graduation so it was fun to hear her love and excitement!

Although our guide was nice and knew a lot about beer and history, he seemed to be pretty inexperienced as a guide. He walked at least half a block ahead of our group sometimes without looking to see if we were following until he got to a corner. The pub selection was interesting, but spread out too far and we got bored between stops. The guide brought us a selection of 3 beers at each pub, but only one glass to try them all-so we had to rinse out the glasses with water then drink the beer/water between tastings. Also… regardless of the description “rich history with pub stops, drinks and nibbles along the way,” there is no food on this tour. When I asked I was told I could stop into a store and buy a snack. The tour is 2 1/2 hours long and we would all have liked at least some nuts or crisps. It wasn’t a total waste of time since I learned some things and visited pups I may not have found on my own, but it wasn’t worth the money either.

Our guide was friendly, informative, and really knew her stuff. She spoke articulately on beer in general, the specific beers we tasted, and the larger alcohol industry. We very much enjoyed the tour.

The pub tour was outstanding and everything that we expected. Ian was terrific and so full of knowledge about different beers and had many interesting stories. We met some very nice people and just had a wonderful time. I recommend it highly.
