Enjoy a journey in the past...The Christians of Rome began to excavate their own community cemeteries (known today as ‘catacombs’) at the beginning of the second half of the 2nd century AD, when a few wealthy families, having been converted to the Christian faith, donated their lands to the Church.

Catacombe di San Callisto
During the tour you will visit the biggest Catacombs in Rome. They were the official cemetery of the Church of Rome in the 3rd century AD. Around half a million Christians were buried here, among them many martyrs and 16 popes. They are named after the deacon St. Callixtus who, at the beginning of the 3rd century AD, was assigned by Pope Zephyrinus to the administration of the cemetery. Since 1930 they have been entrusted to the custody of the Salesians of Don Bosco.

They never showed up at the meeting place. And we couldn't get in touch with them. The trip was otherwise confirmed

Booked a guided tour later in the morning. Got confirmation of the time and place … but no guide was available at the appointed time. Was no tour of the catacombs, boring

The experience didn’t happen. I tried to contact the tour provider despite numerous phone calls. We arrived at the meeting point at 9:20am as the tour was starting at 9:30am. We waited 45 mins and met others who were waiting for the 10:00 tour. When we left at 10:15, their tour guide still hadn’t arrived. I contacted revolut about trying to get a refund for the trip.

I was on time at the pick-up point (in front of a hotel near the Coliseum) but the bus that was supposed to pick me up at the meeting point never passed. I haven't seen any other guests waiting for the same excursion. I tried to reach the VIATOR power plant by phone who was not answering. I don't know if the bus passed before the time indicated.

There was no one at the agreed meeting point at the agreed time. So there was no viewing at all. At our request, no one contacted us either. It's incredible!

We were at the defined meeting point at 2 p.m., but no one was there. We tried to reach someone, but we were unsuccessful. We hope we get the money back.
